Holy Week: A time to remember the passion of Jesus Christ
As we enter Holy Week, we are reminded of the deep meaning behind the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In this sacred time, it invites us to pause and reflect on our lives, our faith, and our relationship with God and others.
Palm Sunday celebrates Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, welcomed by crowds waving palms. It marks the beginning of Holy Week with cheers and praise, as Jesus enters Jerusalem. It’s a joyful moment that reminds us of the hope people placed in Him, even though sorrow was already near.
Holy Monday reminds us to keep our hearts centered on faith, honesty, and prayer.
Holy Tuesday is a day of teachings. Jesus shares parables and wisdom; even the religious leaders tried to trap Him. It reminds us to stay faithful and seek truth.
Holy Wednesday marks the betrayal of Jesus by Judas. It’s a day that urges us to reflect on our choices and loyalty.
Holy Thursday recalls the Last Supper, where Jesus shared His body and blood and washed His disciples’ feet. It teaches us about love, service, and the power of humility.
Good Friday is the most solemn day, when Jesus was crucified. Though filled with sorrow, it is called good because His death brought us salvation. It’s a day to remember the depth of His love.
Holy Saturday is quiet and still. Jesus is in the tomb, and the world waits. It reminds us that even in silence, God is working. It’s a time of hope before the joy.
Easter Sunday celebrates Jesus’ resurrection. It’s the most joyful day, symbolizing new life, victory over sin, and the hope that love and faith will always rise again.
May this Holy Week lead us to a deeper understanding of God's love and inspire us to live with compassion, forgiveness, and peace.
A happy Holy Week to each one of us!
