๐๐„๐–๐’ ๐…๐„๐€๐“๐”๐‘๐„ | Come for a ROARsome Adventure at SNA!

Loud roars and excitement filled the Sir Bobot Covered Court last Friday, August 1, 2025, as SNAians officially marked the start of the school year with a lively and heartfelt welcome program. The event was a vibrant mix of celebration, games, music, and performancesโ€”setting an energetic tone for the academic year ahead.

The event also served as an advance celebration of the Feast Day of St. Dominic, the program reflected the values of faith and community that guide SNA. In line with the Dominican spirit, the induction of the Supreme Student Government (SSG) and the Mother Parent-Teacher Association (MPTA) took center stage, symbolizing leadership, service, and commitment for the school year 2025โ€“2026.

The event opened with a solemn oath-taking led by the newly elected officers, followed by inspiring messages from SSG President Ella Nicole Dayrit and MPTA President Ms. Clarissa Go. While Principal sir Ronald D. David welcomed everyone with heartfelt opening remarks, reminding students of the schoolโ€™s mission and values.

SNAians were also treated to a series of fun and interactive games, including trivia focused on St. Dominic and the schoolโ€™s key locations, fostering both learning and camaraderie. A high-energy live performance by the revolutionary band, along with a performance from the Dominant Vocation Club (DVC), brought the crowd to life and highlighted the schoolโ€™s rich pool of talent.

As the event came to a close, the spirit of St. Dominic echoed through the campus, welcoming new faces and reuniting old ones with warmth and purpose. With passion, unity, and faith as their compass, SNAians are now ready to embrace a school year filled with growth, excellence, and upcoming roarventures.

The Class officers and Homeroom Parent-Teacher Association (HPTA) took their oath of leadership this Sunday, July 27, as they were officially inducted at Sto. Niรฑo Parish Church for the school year 2025-2026.

Students and Parents raised their right hands and followed Rev. Father Pablo Mungcal as he led the vow.

โ€œI will do my duties and responsibilities as an officer of this yearโ€™s Parent-Teachers Association, be of service to the community and be supportive to this institution,โ€ the HPTA officers vowed.

On the other hand, the students also swore to fulfill their duties and serve responsibly, with unwavering dedication to the best of their abilities.

โ€œI promise to uphold the values of our school and to be your role model in both conduct and character. Inspiring others to strive for excellence in all that we do,โ€ they swore.

Meanwhile, the induction for the Student Supreme Government (SSG) and the Mother Parent-Teacher Association (MPTA) will be on August 2, 2025.

Today, we celebrate the birth of a man whose body may have been still, but whose mind moved a nation.

Apolinario Mabini, known as "The Sublime Paralytic" and "Brains of the Revolution", is proof that true strength is not found in muscle or might, but in the courage to stand by your beliefs even when the world tells you to give up.

Born on July 23, 1864, in Tanauan, Batangas, Mabini came from a humble background and worked tirelessly to rise above poverty through education. He studied at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran and later at the University of Santo Tomas, where he earned his law degree. He was deeply influenced by the liberal and nationalist ideas circulating at the time, which would later define his role in history.

Struck by polio at the age of 31, he lost the ability to walk. But instead of retreating into silence and pity, he rose with intellect, fire, and unshakable love for the country. He became one of the leading minds behind the Philippine Revolution. Behind the scenes of the revolution, he was a guiding force, drafting laws, advising the Philippines' first president, Emilio Aguinaldo, and shaping the political foundations of the First Philippine Republic.

He was known โ€œThe Sublime Paralyticโ€ not simply because of his condition, but because of his unmatched brilliance, humility, and integrity. Few people realize that the guiding mind behind the Malolos Constitution, one of the primary architects of Philippine democracy, was a man who could not even stand.

๐’๐ข๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐€๐ญ๐ญ๐š๐œ๐ค

The American colonial government underestimated Mabini because of his physical condition. He was placed under house arrest, presumed harmless. But during his confinement, Mabini continued to resist, writing essays, political reflections, and appeals for independence that fueled the spirit of nationalism. His pen and mind became his weapons, and his ideas were unstoppable.

After the Philippine-American War broke out, Mabini was exiled to Guam for refusing to swear allegiance to the United States. Even in exile, he continued to write about freedom, justice, and national dignity. He was eventually allowed to return to the Philippines in 1903, but died a few months later, on May 13, 1903.

Apolinario Mabini may not have marched with soldiers or fought with swords, but he proved that revolutions are not won by force alone but also in standing firm in oneโ€™s beliefs, even in isolation, even in pain. His body may have been still, but his spirit was unstoppable. He wrote for freedom, spoke for justice, and lived with unwavering devotion to the Filipino people.

United Start: Parents and School Unite for Orientation and PTA Elections

Parents gathered enthusiastically today, July 5, 2025, at Sto. Niรฑo Parish Church for the first Parent Orientation along with the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Elections for the 2025โ€“2026 school year, showing their dedication to their childrenโ€™s growth and success.

To start another school year grounded in collaboration and open communication, parents were oriented on school programs, policies, and expectations. The event served as a platform for fostering stronger ties between home and school, with active parental involvement highlighted as a key factor in student success.

Principal Sir Ronald David delivered a meaningful speech emphasizing the importance of school policies and parental responsibility in instilling discipline among students. His message was further supported by Sr. Caridad Bayani, O.P., who reminded parents that values formation begins at home and is strengthened through cooperation with the school.

Following the orientation, the Homeroom PTA elections were conducted at their respective classrooms.

After the election of Homeroom PTA officers, parents gathered at the Regina Pacis Hall to elect PTA members, allowing parents to choose representatives who will serve as vital links between families and the school administration.

With the academic year officially underway, the school community looks forward to a year of unity, purpose, and continued partnership for the benefit of every student.
