ā€œTeacher Shinyā€

Mama Mary’s Birthday | Kinder Chapel Time 🩵

I cannot imagine myself teaching kinder pupils but through it all, I am proud of myself. God made me do it. He believed in me. So, I did!

Going back home will always be something that I will always look back to. 🄰

Dati ayokong umuwi kasi lahat ng mga magaganda at mga masasakit na ala-ala ay nasa Banaue pero ngayon lagi kong pinagdarasal ang mga panahon na sana makauwi ako sa amin. The pain didn’t left but the place changed and the people, too.

Making new memories back home. I’ll make sure the good ones. šŸ˜

Because somehow along the way, I’ve noticed how far I’ve come.

It felt surreal but definitely it wasn’t. I didn’t know how, but God carried me through. January to August came like a flash. Without notice, it’s already few months before we end another year.

But through it all, my heart is full of joy. I am grateful. I am blessed. Grateful to share. Blessed to care.

Thank you! 🄰

You’re prayers not mine alone made life less heavy. God bless.

When life meets you, make sure to live it to the fullest! šŸ˜

Finally felt and seen the terraces. Thank you, Banaue for the slow break from this busy world. Until next time!

I remember praying to God to give me courage and strength to get through life every single day. It was seven (7) years ago when I graduated from SHS and was about to begin my college journey. I didn’t know what lies ahead but I placed my trust in Him.

When I started college, it wasn’t easy. It was a whirlwind journey, since it also during the pandemic. There were times that I would barely keep going even for a day. I planned of discontinuing my studies but my why is greater than my reasons back then (though, until now it’s still the way it is).

But now, it’s no longer courage and strength that I beg from Him, it’s peace of mind and understanding to keep up with the challenges of life.

May all that we do give glory to the One who blessed us with all that we have. May we always learn to humble ourselves in front of Him because I believe He always got the best plan for us. No matter what, I am grateful and will always be. ā¤ļø

It’s so sad how the world is changing so fast. What makes it more saddening is the reality that it’s changing negatively.

With the incidents that are happening within our school compounds, who really is the one to blame? But, you know what the real question is, ā€œwhat can we do to make the world safer to everyone, especially our young people?ā€

With the incidents repeating itself, how can we point fingers now? It’s not time to put blame to anyone. It’s time to do something. It’s time to act on what we should have done before this incidents came crushing our younger generations. We should have stopped it. We should have prevented it. But, instead we point fingers to those we should blame.

This is not only a problem of one. It’s our problem as community, as society, as a nation. This reminded me of one of my favorite quote, ā€œwhat makes a child is a community.ā€ Thus, it takes a community to raise up a child. Not only the teachers nor the parents alone, it’s all our responsibility.

The parents build the foundation. The teachers continue to mold. But the community impacts the child more because what they see around them (online or offline), it affects them deeply. It changes their perspective instantly. It can either make them or break them. It can either help them grow or let them be criminals on their own.

Now, together, let’s face this reality. The reality that we can still do something if not everything for our young people to feel safe, included, heard and seen. I think it’s not only the parent nor the teachers can do this alone, it is ours to make it happen. Let’s use our voices. Let’s use our platforms. Let’s use our professions. Let’s make it happen. Not tomorrow, not later but NOW!

[It took me some time to have made this post into words because I am really emotional seeing our young people choosing the wrong. Thus, let’s do this together. As one community, one nation, one Philippines for our young people, our children to have a better and safe place to live in.]

Ps. Everything here is my own thoughts and opinions. šŸ”±
