Mock Accreditation of BTVTEd Program Underway at ASU Kalibo
Kalibo, Aklan – The Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) program of Aklan State University – Kalibo campus is currently holding its Mock Accreditation for the preliminary survey visit at the Office of the President, ASU Kalibo, today.
The activity opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Amzi V. Martirez, Dean of the College of Industrial Education, who underscored the significance of the accreditation process in strengthening the university’s commitment to quality technical-vocational teacher education.
On behalf of Dr. Luchelyn A. Beltran, Director of Quality Assurance, Dr. Jane Fuentes-Mollo, Chair of Quality Assurance at ASU Kalibo, formally introduced the local accreditors tasked to guide and evaluate the process. Following this, Dr. Martina R. Rebustes, Chairperson of the BTVTEd Program, provided a brief introduction of the local task force.
The local accreditors present are Dr. Christopher D. Tolores and Dr. Benedicta D. Repayo, who will be leading the review, offering recommendations, and ensuring that the BTVTEd program aligns with accreditation standards.
Also present in the activity is Engr. Neil Samuel G. Samson, OIC Campus Director of ASU Kalibo.
The mock accreditation serves as a preparatory activity for the official survey visit on September 8, 2025, allowing the university to strengthen its documentation, processes, and outcomes. It also reflects ASU Kalibo’s continuous pursuit of academic excellence and its dedication to providing inclusive and quality education for future technical-vocational educators.
