𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝟯𝗜𝗗 𝗦𝗲𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝟱 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘇 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵

Five high-powered fi****ms were seized during an encounter between troops of the Army's 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division and remnants of the Central Front (CF) and Regional Sentro de Grabidad (RSDG) of the Komiteng Rehiyon–Panay (KR-Panay) at the tri-boundary of Barangays Agpalali, Artuz, and Tabon in Tapaz, Capiz.

The clash occurred at about 2:00 a.m. on August 22, 2025. The joint security operation involved elements from the 12th Infantry (Lick 'Em) Battalion (12IB, 82nd Infantry (Bantay Laya) Battalion (82IB), and 61st Infantry (Hunter) Battalion (61IB), with critical air support provided by the Philippine Air Force’s 5th Fighter Wing, 15th Strike Wing, Airlift Wing, and Tactical Operations Group 6 (TOG-6).

Seven hours later, another encounter took place in Barangay Agpalali, Tapaz, Capiz, between troops of the 12IB and more or less 10 members of the same armed groups.

This second clash occurred at around 9:27 a.m. and lasted for about 20 minutes. Seized from the site were two (2) M14 assault rifles, one (1) M16 assault rifle (5.56mm), one (1) AK-47 assault rifle, and one (1) Garand rifle.

After six hours, the third encounter occurred at around 3:00 pm at Sitio Bagacay, Barangay Tabon, Tapaz, Capiz.

Meanwhile, one Private sustained a minor shrapnel wound to the left shoulder and is now in stable condition.

In his statement, MGen. Michael G. Samson, Commander of the 3ID, lauded the successful joint operation of 3ID line units and Philippine Air Force. He also commended the vigilance of local communities, whose timely reports and cooperation were instrumental in the mission’s success.

“The seizure of these high-powered fi****ms further weakens the already dwindling capability of the remnants of the CTG in Panay. This is a clear manifestation of the people’s growing rejection of their terroristic acts and deceptive propaganda. Rest assured, your Army will remain relentless in our pursuit to achieve lasting peace in Western Visayas,” MGen. Samson said.

“As we continue our focused military operations, I urge all CTG remnants to lay down their arms and embrace the path of reconciliation. The government’s Enhanced-Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) and Amnesty Program remain open to those who choose peace over violence. Let us not waste another life in pursuit of a lost cause,” he concluded.

Armed Forces of the Philippines, Patuloy na nananawagan sa mga Natitirang NPA sa Panay na Magbalik-Loob

Patuloy ang panawagan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines sa mga natitirang kasapi ng New People’s Army o NPA sa isla ng Panay na iwan na ang armadong pakikibaka at magbalik-loob sa pamahalaan.

Sa sunod-sunod na engkwentro sa pagitan ng mga tropa ng gobyerno at ng NPA, partikular sa bayan ng Tapaz, Capiz, mas pinaigting ng AFP ang kanilang kampanya para sa kapayapaan at pagbabalik-loob.

Kasalukuyang nagsasagawa ang mga tropa ng loudspeaker operations sa mga barangay ng Tapaz upang maipaabot ang panawagan at mabatid ng mga natitirang miyembro ng NPA na bukas ang pintuan ng pamahalaan para sa kanila.

Sa pamamagitan ng 82nd Infantry Battalion, 12th Infantry Battalion, at 61st Infantry Battalion na nasa ilalim ng 301st Infantry “Bayanihan” Brigade, nakahanda ang gobyerno na tanggapin at tulungan ang mga nais magbagong buhay. May mga programang handog na makatutulong hindi lamang sa kanila, kundi pati sa kanilang mga pamilya, para makapagsimula ng payapa, ligtas, at maunlad na pamumuhay.

Hindi pa huli ang lahat para sa mga natitirang miyembro ng NPA. Handa ang gobyerno na umalalay at magbigay ng pagkakataon para sa bagong simula. Piliin natin ang kapayapaan at kinabukasan.

Naniniwala ang AFP na sa pagtutulungan ng pamahalaan, komunidad, at mga dating rebelde, ay makakamtan ang isang mas ligtas at maunlad na Panay para sa lahat.

CPP-NPA-NDF, the most
applicant for amnesty

A total of 3,410 amnesty applications were received by the National Amnesty Commission on August 1, and 71.4% or 2,435 were from former CPP-NPA-NDF members.

Also included 69 from the breakaway group RPMP-RPA-ABB (Negros), 582 from M**F, and 324 from MNLF.

403rd Brigade Neutralizes Two NPA Rebels, Seizes Fi****ms in Bukidnon Clash

Government troops under the 403rd Infantry “Peacemaker” Brigade, led by Brigadier General Seigfred C. Tubalado PA, neutralized two CPP-NPA terrorists in an encounter at Barangay Guihean, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon, on August 17, 2025.

The clash, which stemmed from the August 13 pursuit operations, also resulted in the recovery of five high-powered fi****ms, subversive documents, and other war materials—further crippling the enemy’s armed struggle.

BGen Tubalado commended the courage and discipline of his troops, reminding them to strictly observe operational safety and the rules of engagement. He assured that efforts are underway to retrieve the remains of the slain rebels and extend proper assistance to their families.

He also called on the remaining CNT members to surrender, stressing that the government is ready to embrace them through reintegration programs that provide livelihood, support, and a chance to rebuild their lives peacefully.
