Limang dating rebelde sa Iloilo ang nakatanggap ng P15,000 livelihood grant noong Disyembre 2, sa ilalim ng E-CLIP program ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan.

May kabuuang 204 na ang natulungan ng programa, na nagbibigay ng tulong pinansyal at pangkabuhayan para sa maayos na reintegration sa komunidad.

Sa tulong ng DSWD at lokal na pamahalaan, marami sa kanila ay nakapag-aral na o nakahanap ng trabaho.

The Army’s 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division joined the nationwide simultaneous flag-raising ceremony, held via video teleconference (VTC), to mark the observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) at the 3ID Covered Gymnasium, Camp Gen. Macario B. Peralta Jr., Jamindan, Capiz, on November 24, 2025.
The nationwide 18-Day Campaign to End Violence against Women runs from November 25 to December 12, 2025 with the theme “UNITED for a VAW-Free Philippines.” This year’s observance highlights the power of collective action in building a safer, more inclusive society.
With the sub-theme “VAW Bigyang-Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras,” the campaign calls on communities, government, and civil society to intensify advocacy and take concrete steps to protect women from all forms of violence.
Lieutenant General Antonio G. Nafarrete, Commanding General of the Philippine Army, reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to protecting women’s rights, stressing that violence against women has no place in society or the military.
“Let us actively support this nationwide campaign by strengthening our Gender and Development (GAD) programs and by ensuring safe, inclusive, and enabling workplaces. Let us challenge harmful norms and practices that perpetuate violence and inequality. Above all, let us lead by example may the Philippine Army stand as a true catalyst for change toward a VAW-free Philippines,” Lt. Gen. Nafarrete said.
For his part, Major General Michael G. Samson, Commander of the 3ID, stressed that ending violence against women is both a national mandate and a moral duty of every soldier and citizen. “Violence against women undermines human dignity and community strength. As protectors of the people, we in 3ID must uphold respect, equality, and compassion, ensuring the rights of women and children are safeguarded. Together, let us build a society free from fear and abuse,” MGen. Samson said.
The flag raising ceremony symbolizes solidarity and commitment to the cause, as 3ID joins other government offices, local government units, and organizations across the country in reaffirming their dedication to a VAW-free Philippines.

Layunin ng inisyatibang ito na mapabuti ang koordinasyon sa pagitan ng dalawang ahensya at masigurong ligtas ang komunidad laban sa krimen at iba pang banta sa seguridad.
Ayon sa opisyal, ang sama-samang operasyon ay bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng mga otoridad na mapanatili ang kapayapaan sa Aklan.

A major victory for peace and security in Panay was achieved on Monday, November 3, 2025, with the successful arrest of a top Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) leader operating across the provinces of Aklan, Iloilo, and Capiz.

GASPAR MATULLANO, also known as “Mayok,” former Secretary of both the Eastern Front and Central Front, Komiteng Rehiyon–Panay (KR-P); CO, FOC; CO, SDG Platoon, CFC and overseer of the remaining members of KR-Panay after the death of Roberto Cabales , was apprehended in a legitimate law enforcement support operation at Barangay Buntatala, Jaro, Iloilo City.

The operation was jointly conducted by the 82nd Infantry (BANTAY LAYA) Battalion and the 61st Infantry (HUNTER) Battalion under the 301st Infantry (BAYANIHAN) Brigade, in coordination with the Police Intelligence Unit–Iloilo and with vital assistance from the local community.

Matullano had seven (7) standing warrants of arrest, including two (2) non-bailable charges for murder and rebellion. Authorities confirmed that he was given the chance to surrender peacefully but chose to resist. Through the coordinated efforts of the Army, Police, and local informants, he was successfully captured without any collateral damage—underscoring the legitimacy and precision of the operation.

Brigadier General NHEL RICHARD E. PATRICIO, PA, Commander of the 301st Infantry Brigade, commended the troops and issued a strong message to the remaining CTG members:

“With their leaders gone, the CTG’s strength is collapsing. The fight is over—it’s time to come home. Surrender now while you still can. The government is ready to help you start anew through ECLIP and the Local Amnesty Program.”

For his part, Major General Michael G. Samson, Commander, 3ID, emphasized that the fall of Matullano signals a turning point in the region’s quest for the ultimate victory against insurgency, underscoring the importance of community cooperation and sustained military efforts in achieving lasting peace.

“This arrest marks a decisive victory in our campaign to neutralize the remaining NPAs in Panay. We commend the bravery of our troops and the cooperation of the community. Let this be a clear message: the path of violence leads only to ruin, but peace offers hope and a future for all,” said MGen. Samson

5 ARAW NA RESCUE CAMP, MATAGUMPAY NA NAGTAPOS NITONG BIYERNES

Naging matagumpay at nagtapos na ang limang araw na 1st GOV. JOEN MIRAFLORES RESCUE CAMP na isinagawa sa Jawili Integrated School mula Oktubre 27 hanggang Oktubre 31,2025.

Ang limang araw na Rescue Camp ay nilahukan ng mahigit 200+ na mga estudiyante mula sa ibat-ibang eskwelahan sa bayan sa Aklan kabilang ang Malay, Kalibo, Buruanga, Nabas, Tangalan, Ibajay, Altavas, Madalag, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, ASU Makato.

Sa unang araw ng Camp nagpakitang gilas ang 82nd Infantry “Bantay Laya” Battalion Philippine Army sa isang Arnis Demonstration, pagkatapos naman ay hinati-hati ang mga partisipante sa bawat Cluster.

Sa ikalawang araw ay itinuro sa kanila ang Mental health Psychological First Aid, Orientation On OED, Mass CPR, Radio Communication.

Sa Ikatlo at ikaapat na araw ay natraining naman sila ng Land Navigation & Mapping, Basic First Aid, Water Safety, Knot Tying, Fire Fighting, Basic Camping Skills, High Angle Rescue.

Samantala sa ikalimang araw naman ay nagpakitang gilas din sila sa kanilang Final Assessment bago opisyal na nagtapos ang Rescue Camp.

Kapag dumating ang sakuna, handa ang Aklan upang mapalakas ang kahandaan at kakayahan ng lalawigan sa pagharap sa malalaking sakuna—maging ito man ay dulot ng tao o ng kalikasan—lalo na ngayon na sunod-sunod ang mga kalamidad.

Ang nasabing 1st Gov. Joen Miraflores Rescue Camp ay kauna-unahang ginanap sa Aklan kung saan pinangunahan ito ng PDRRMO Aklan, 82nd Infantry Battalion Philippine Army, Aklan Police Provincial Office, Philippine Coast Guard Aklan, Bureau of Fire Protection Aklan, PHO- Aklan, Philippine Red Cross, PYDO Aklan, DEPED, Girl Scouts of the Philippines Aklan Chapter.

Pormal nang binuksan at sinimulan ang 5 araw na 1st Gov. Jose Enrique Miraflores Rescue Camp ngayong Lunes ng hapon sa Jawili Integrated School, Jawili, Tangalan.

Pinangunahan ito ng PDRRMO Aklan, Ibat-ibang Local DRRMO’s, 82nd Infantry “Bantay Laya” Battalion Phillippine Army, Aklan Police Provincial Office, BFP Aklan, PCG Aklan, Phillipine Red Cross, Boy and Girl Scouts of the Phillipines, Sangguniang Kabataan, Aklan PYDO, DEPED, Aklan Response Team at Barangay Officials ng Jawili.

Nasa mahigit 200 naman na kabataan ang sumali sa Rescue Camp mula sa iba't-ibang eskwelahan mula sa Kalibo, Malay, Tangalan, Nabas, Madalag, Buruanga, Altavas, Ibajay, Girl Scouts Tangalan, at ASU Makato.

Layunin ng nasabing aktibidad na mas maturuan at sanayin ang mga kabataan na maging handa sa iba't-ibang uri ng kalamidad, aksidente at mga insidente na mangyayari.
