On 12 June 2026, the 7th Regional Community Defense Group , led by COL RICKY N PARCON INF (GSC) PA, Group Commander, participated in the Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony in celebration of the 128th Independence Day with the theme: “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan.”

H7RCDG participated in the Flagraising Ceremony at VISCOM, AFP, Camp Lapulapu, Apas, Cebu City, while the Community Defense Centers (CDCs) participated in their respective areas of responsibility: 701CDC at Plaza Independencia, Cebu City; 702CDC at the Provincial Capitol Ground, Tagbilaran City; 703CDC at Tayasan Municipality Ground, Tayasan, Negros Oriental; and 704CDC at the Municipal Hall, Brgy Poblacion, Siquijor, Siquijor.

The activity reflects the unity and patriotism of the Reserve Force in commemorating the nation’s independence and reinforces its commitment to nation-building and community engagement.

On June 8, 2026, LTC EDUARD B TRINIDAD GSC (ARM) PA (Res), Battalion Commander of the 1102nd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion in Davao del Norte and a former Commissioner of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB), together with Atty. John Rey Saavedra also an Army Reservist Commissioned Officer with the rank of MAJOR of the 1901st Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade, paid a Courtesy Call to COL RICKY N PARCON INF (GSC) PA, Group Commander of the 7th Regional Community Defense Group held at Headquarters 7RCDG, Camp Lapulapu, Cebu City.

The visit served as a platform to strengthen professional ties and enhance coordination between reserve units, as well as to discuss matters of mutual interest in support of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army’s mandate in manpower buildup.

COL PARCON warmly welcomed LTC TRINIDAD and expressed his appreciation for their continued support and commitment to strengthening the reserve force. The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration, leadership, and unity in advancing the capabilities of reservists in their respective areas of responsibility.

On June 5, 2026, BGEN ALLAN R ARROJADO PA (RET) and an incumbent Municipal Councilor of San Francisco, Camotes Island, Cebu with the members of Rifle Pistol Practical Defense Shooting Association paid a courtesy call to COL RICKY N PARCON INF (GSC) PA, Group Commander of the 7th Regional Community Defense Group at Headquarters 7RCDG, Camp Lapulapu, Apas, Cebu City.

The meeting focused on the proposed conduct of Gun Safety Seminar to all organic and Reservist Personnel who wants to apply for LTOPF as requirement for acquiring personal fi****ms. Said safety Seminar will be facilitated by the experienced Rifle Pistol Practical Defense Shooting Association instructors. It will further enhance and refresh the knowledge and skills in firearm safety, proper handling, and practical defense shooting of the regular and reservist troops of the 7RCDG.

This initiative reflects the unit’s continuing efforts to promote professionalism, safety, awareness, and operational readiness among its personnel through relevant skills training, stakeholders and civic partners engagements.

On June 2, 2026, Dr. Angel H. Espiritu Jr., D.P.A., Ph.D., Regional Director, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Consular Office in Cebu, paid a courtesy call to COL RICKY N PARCON INF (GSC) PA, Group Commander of the 7th Regional Community Defense Group at H7RCDG, Camp Lapu-Lapu, Apas, Cebu City.

The meeting focused on discussions regarding the Commission to the Reserve Force of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, highlighting the importance of strengthening collaboration and support mechanisms for reservists in fulfilling their vital role in national defense and development.

This engagement underscores the continuing partnership between National Government Agencies and the Reserve Command, Philippine Army in promoting the Reserve Force Manpower Buildup as a responsive and capable Reserve Force.

Tanjay City, Negros Oriental – On May 29, 2026, COL RICKY N PARCON INF (GSC) PA, Group Commander of the 7th Regional Community Defense Group (7RCDG), together with MAJ RYAN EVE A COMESO (MI) PA, Director of the 703rd Community Defense Center, paid a courtesy call on Hon. Jose Orlino, Mayor of Tanjay City.

The meeting served as a venue to strengthen coordination and collaboration between the Reserve Force administrators and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tanjay City. Key discussions focused on the upcoming Summer Camp Training for Advance ROTC Cadets, the conduct of the Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) for Calendar Year 2026, and the future structure and development of the Reserve Force.

Furthermore, both parties emphasized the vital role of LGUs in enhancing reservist recruitment, training, and mobilization efforts across the province. The engagement highlighted the continued commitment of 7RCDG in building strong partnerships with local stakeholders to ensure a responsive, capable, and mission-ready Reserve Force.

On 28 May 2026, COL RICKY N PARCON INF (GSC) PA, Group Commander of the 7th Regional Community Defense Group, together with MAJ RYAN EVE A COMESO (MI) PA, Director of 703CDC, paid a courtesy call to BGEN JASON V JUMAWAN PA, Commander of the 302nd Infantry Brigade, at Headquarters, 302nd Brigade, Camp Leon Kilat, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental.

The engagement strengthened coordination and collaboration between the units. The salient points of discussions tackled were the upcoming Summer Camp Training of Advance ROTC Cadets, Basic Citizen Military Training for Calendar Year 2026 in the area of 302nd Brigade, Future Force structure of the Reserve Force and the participation of the 302nd Brigade and LGUs in the recruitment and training of the Reservists in the Region. Further conversations encompasses on the Youth Leaders engagements in Higher Educational Institutions, information dissemination on the recruitment and recovery efforts of left leaning organizations, ROTC program advocacy, the role of reservists into supporting the Brigade’s mission, and updates on the status of Reservist Mobilization Center.

Commander 302nd Brigade underscores the sustained support for the activities and training program of the 7RCDG in the Brigade's area of operations.

On 28 May 2026, COL RICKY N PARCON INF (GSC) PA, Group Commander of the 7th Regional Community Defense Group conducted an official visit to the 703rd Community Defense Center at Camp Leon Kilat, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental.

During the visit, MAJ RYAN EVE A COMESO (MI) PA, Director of 703CDC, presented a unit briefing on the units' status, accomplishments, and ongoing initiatives.

The visit underscores the leadership’s commitment to ensuring that all subordinate units remain mission-ready, responsive, and aligned with the objectives of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army.

COL PARCON reiterated his Command Guidance in the ROTC and Reservist administration and personally check the morale and welfare and well being of the troops of 703rd Community Defense Center.
