In a heartfelt spirit of gratitude and celebration, The National Teachers College - Office of Student Affairs (NTC-OSA), together with student leaders, academic heads, and faculty members, celebrated the annual Bagani Awards: Araw ng Parangal at Pasasalamat yesterday, July 15, 2025, at the NTC Social Hall.
The event serves as a meaningful recognition of the hard work and dedication demonstrated by student leaders in their respective clubs and organizations throughout the Academic Year 2024-2025. As a symbol of excellence in student leadership and services, the Bagani Award is regarded as one of the most prestigious honours conferred by the institutions.
At the beginning of the program, the Head of Student Life and Development, Ms. Catherine D. Sanchez, delivered the opening remarks with the message prepared by NTC Executive Vice President Ms. Pamela Q. Wu, highlighting that โthis event is so much more than just handing out awardsโit is a celebration designed to foster the culture of appreciation, inclusivity, and excellence.โ
The honorary celebration proceeded with the presentation of awards to outstanding leaders and organizations across all schools.

NTC - College Y Club
In recognition of their unwavering commitment to student welfare and journalistic excellence as the student bodies, Fiat Lux, the official student-run publication, and the NTC Student Government (NTC-SG) received Certificates of Appreciation from the Office of Student Affairs, honoring their outstanding service to the Inang Tanglaw community.
The ceremonyโs pinnacle moment came with the presentation of the highest student leadership award, the ๐ง๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐น๐ฎ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐๐
๐ฐ๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ, which was awarded to Jocel Blaise Macabantad, President of College Y Club.
As the program speaker quoted, Macabantadโs achievement as a student leader exemplifies outstanding skills and academic excellence, reflecting her admirable contributions to the NTC community as she embodies the core of KAKAMPI values (Kahusayan, Katapatan, Malasakit, Pagkamalikhain, at Integridad) that define National Teachers College spirit.
The event concluded with all attendees singing the NTC Hymn, marking the official close of this meaningful celebration.
The Bagani Awards stand not only as a recognition but also as a testament to the pride, stories, and collective achievements of student leaders who have overcome the challenges with the support of each member in their clubs and organizations. The event reinforces the institution's commitment to nurturing future leaders who will continue to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
