The NTC Commission on Election (NTC-COMELEC) announced today, July 21, 2025, via its official page, the newly appointed commissioners for Academic Year 2025–2026.

Julian James R. Azucena leads the commission as the Chairperson, with Jaira Bianca Aguja as the Vice-Chairperson, and several commissioners assigned to various roles:
• Kristine Dhel S. Meneses - Commissioner for Canvassing
• Jessica Silva - Commissioner for Finance and Logistics
• Jesiel G. Garcia - Commissioner for Public Relations
• Giles T. Artajo - Commissioner for Linkages

With the principle, “For the students, by the students,” the NTC community expects the newly appointed COMELEC officials to carry out their duties with honesty and integrity.

Due to inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon, the Manila City Government has suspended all face-to-face classes tomorrow, Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

In response, the National Teachers College (NTC) announced via its official page the shift of College and Graduate School Intersession classes to asynchronous learning through their respective Google Classrooms. Meanwhile, the Basic Education orientation set for July 22 will be rescheduled.

The National Teachers College (NTC) announced today, July 18, 2025, via email blast, the detailed breakdown of the fixed miscellaneous fees for the Academic Year 2025-26.

For context, the NTC student portal previously did not show the detailed breakdown of the miscellaneous fees, which led to confusion among NTCians.

Given the previous lack of transparency, NTCians are encouraged to review these fees carefully going forward and stay vigilant about the fees you pay for.

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜: 𝗡𝗧𝗖-𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖 𝗦𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗥

The NTC Commission on Election (NTC-COMELEC) has released the official calendar of activities for the 2025-2026 Student Government and Sectoral Elections on July 15, 2025, detailing key phases from voter registration to final oath-taking.

Voter registration, both online and onsite, runs from July 16 to August 29. Party registration is scheduled for July 28 to August 1, while filing of candidacy will be from July 28 to August 18.

The following dates are set for the Student Government elections:
• Release of Official Slate, Party, & Candidates: August 22
• Campaign Period: August 30–September 6
• Miting de Avance: September 5
• Election Day: September 8
• Proclamation of Winners: September 9
• Filing of Election Contests: September 10–11
• Oathtaking Ceremony: September 19

Meanwhile, sectoral elections will start with group registration on September 22–23, followed by party nominations on September 25. The campaign period runs from September 29 to October 3, with the Miting de Avance on October 1. Elections are set for October 6, and the official oathtaking on October 10.

The NTC-COMELEC reminds all voters to adhere to guidelines stated in Resolution No. 003, s. 2025, and uphold integrity and fairness throughout the election process.

Following a period of relaxed dress code guidelines, the National Teachers College (NTC) announced today, July 16, 2025, via email blast, the reinstatement of its uniform and dress code policy for Academic Year 2025–2026.

As indicated in the memo, the institution requires the students to adhere to the following uniform schedule:

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 & 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀: NTC Regular Uniform or Criminology Type A Uniform

𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 & 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀: Approved college shirts such as Tanglaw Polo Shirts, Tagsay Commemorative Shirts, Organization Shirts, or Criminology Type B Uniform

𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 & 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀: Appropriate Civilian Attire, in accordance with the NTC dress code policy

Additionally, the email lists exemptions for PE shirts, ROTC uniforms, and internship uniforms on their respective activity days, as well as religious clothing. School ID still remains mandatory.

Despite numerous changes and reinstatements, the policy's enforcement continues to be inconsistent, leading to confusion and raising concerns about its overall effectiveness.

In a heartfelt spirit of gratitude and celebration, The National Teachers College - Office of Student Affairs (NTC-OSA), together with student leaders, academic heads, and faculty members, celebrated the annual Bagani Awards: Araw ng Parangal at Pasasalamat yesterday, July 15, 2025, at the NTC Social Hall.

The event serves as a meaningful recognition of the hard work and dedication demonstrated by student leaders in their respective clubs and organizations throughout the Academic Year 2024-2025. As a symbol of excellence in student leadership and services, the Bagani Award is regarded as one of the most prestigious honours conferred by the institutions.

At the beginning of the program, the Head of Student Life and Development, Ms. Catherine D. Sanchez, delivered the opening remarks with the message prepared by NTC Executive Vice President Ms. Pamela Q. Wu, highlighting that “this event is so much more than just handing out awards—it is a celebration designed to foster the culture of appreciation, inclusivity, and excellence.”

The honorary celebration proceeded with the presentation of awards to outstanding leaders and organizations across all schools.

In recognition of their unwavering commitment to student welfare and journalistic excellence as the student bodies, Fiat Lux, the official student-run publication, and the NTC Student Government (NTC-SG) received Certificates of Appreciation from the Office of Student Affairs, honoring their outstanding service to the Inang Tanglaw community.

The ceremony’s pinnacle moment came with the presentation of the highest student leadership award, the 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, which was awarded to Jocel Blaise Macabantad, President of College Y Club.

As the program speaker quoted, Macabantad’s achievement as a student leader exemplifies outstanding skills and academic excellence, reflecting her admirable contributions to the NTC community as she embodies the core of KAKAMPI values (Kahusayan, Katapatan, Malasakit, Pagkamalikhain, at Integridad) that define National Teachers College spirit.

The event concluded with all attendees singing the NTC Hymn, marking the official close of this meaningful celebration.

The Bagani Awards stand not only as a recognition but also as a testament to the pride, stories, and collective achievements of student leaders who have overcome the challenges with the support of each member in their clubs and organizations. The event reinforces the institution's commitment to nurturing future leaders who will continue to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
