START SCARED, START SMALL, JUST START.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You just need the courage to begin.

I started this VA journey with zero experience, no fancy setup, and lots of doubts but I showed up anyway. And every small step I took brought me closer to where I want to be.

If you’re dreaming of working from home, having more time with your family, and building a better life go for it.
There will be challenges, yes, but there will also be growth, wins, and breakthroughs.

📌 I’m back and this is your reminder that it’s okay to rest.

I took a break.
Not because I gave up…
But because I was tired. Drained. Overwhelmed.
And I know I’m not the only one who’s ever felt that way.

To anyone who’s been feeling the same emotionally exhausted, mentally stuck, physically tired please know this:

✨ It’s okay to pause.
✨ It’s okay to rest.
✨ It’s okay to choose yourself.

You are not lazy. You are not weak. You are human.
And even the strongest ones need time to breathe and heal.

I’m slowly getting back now not as the same version of me who left, but as someone who’s learning to choose herself too. 🤍

To anyone who’s struggling right now:
Don’t feel guilty for stepping back.
Rest is not quitting it’s part of the process.

Let’s take it one day at a time. Let’s start again. 💪
I missed you all. Let’s continue this journey together. 🌱

When you feel like you’re falling behind... read this.

There were days I felt like I was “too late” to start this VA journey.
I kept thinking, “Everyone’s already ahead… what if I don’t make it?"
But here’s what I’ve learned:

You’re not late. You’re just on your own timeline.

Some people get clients in 1 month.
Some people take 6 months to land their first.
Some start strong, then pause. Some fail, then rise again.

And all of them are still valid.

You are not behind.
You are not slow.
You are not hopeless.
You are just becoming.

So if you’re reading this tonight, take it as your sign to keep going even slowly.
You’re not alone. I’ve been there.

Seeing the peso fall lower against the dollar feels like a quiet heartbreak especially for us who work online just to give our families a better life. And now, with the VAT implementation and Upwork’s fee increase, I understand why many of us feel anxious, even discouraged. Murag kada lihok nato, nabug-atan ta. It’s painful when you work so hard, yet you feel like you’re losing more than you gain.

But still, co-o VAs, this is not the end. We are strong. We started this journey not because it was easy, but because we believed in a better future. Yes, it’s tough but we are tougher. Let’s keep learning, growing, and working together. For our kids. For our dreams. For the life we promised ourselves. Padayon, mga ka-VA. We rise, even in hard times.

Ever questioned if being a VA is really for you? I did too. But here’s what happened.

I used to think freelancing wasn’t for someone like me.
No confidence. No experience. A full-time mom of three.
But even with fear and doubts, I started.

Instead of waiting, I invested in several paid trainings.
I studied late at night. I learned at my own pace.
I applied what I learned even when I didn’t feel ready.

Now? I'm still at home with my kids, but slowly building the kind of life I used to only dream of.

If you’re in that “Can I really do this?” season this is your sign.
You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.
You just need to believe that you’re worth the start.
