Scheduled power interruption
Date of Interruption: May 5, 2024 (Sunday)
Time: 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Areas affected: From Calo San Jose to the entire area of Sibulan, Dumaguete City, Valencia, Bacong, Dauin, Zamboanguita and Siaton
(Our Pulantubig, Bagacay, Dauin and Siaton substations will be affected)
REASON: NGCP will de-energize its Amlan-Siaton 69kV transmission line to implement the following activities:
1. To conduct repair/reinforcement works on the leaning Structure 173 along our Amlan-Dauin 69kV line located at Barangay Bagacay, Dumaguete City;
2. To conduct hotspot correction at the loop dropper connector phase-B toward 5B-PT(5LI1AML-SIA) AML at the gantry structures along Amlan-Siaton 69kV line at Amlan switchyard;
3. To conduct hotspot correction at DSW 5B-02DS25AML terminal connectors phase B both sides facing CT and dropper conductor along Amlan-Siaton 69kV line at Amlan Switchyard.
NORECO II requested for the rescheduling of the shutdown of NGCP’s Amlan-Siaton 69kV transmission line which was originally scheduled to April 13, 2024 because of the several scheduled power interruptions that NORECO II implemented for the installation of the SCADA in its Pulantubig substations.
All works may be finished ahead of time and power may be restored earlier than scheduled, so please consider the lines always energized. Member-customer-owners in the affected areas are advised to take the necessary precautions. Please turn off all your electrical switches and once power is back, please wait for five minutes before switching on your electrical switches.
