Beloved School Head to Transfer: A New Chapter Begins

After years of dedicated service, Ma'am Flordivida Remetillo Ferrolino, the respected and well-loved head of Don Pablo Carmen Blanco Utzurrum Memorial Elementary School, will be transferring to a new school as part of the Department of Education’s reassignment initiative for the new school year.

During her tenure at DPCBUMES, Ma'am Flor spearheaded initiatives that improved student performance, strengthened community engagement, and enhanced the school’s learning environment. Colleagues and students alike describe her as a selfless leader, compassionate mentor, and tireless advocate for quality education.

She will be assuming leadership at Basay Central School as School Head for morning shift, where she is expected to bring the same energy, innovation, and commitment that defined her previous post. The transfer is part of a broader reshuffling held this week, affecting multiple districts across the Schools Division of Bayawan City.

A turnover ceremony was held last Tuesday, July 29 and formally welcomed the incoming school head.

The school community wishes ma'am Flor a better health and continued great leadership. She will surely be missed by her DPCBUMES Family! 🫶

A Homecoming of Leadership: Welcoming Back Our School Head

With great pride and heartfelt joy, our school community welcomes back Ma'am Marylou Manila Toledo, who returns to us not as a stranger, but as a cherished leader—stepping once again into the role of school head.

Her previous tenure left a legacy of integrity, innovation, and dedication in raising the academic status of the school to excellence. Now, Ma'am Malou's returns will lead us into a future grounded in strong values and vibrant possibilities.

It is a rare and meaningful occasion when a leader comes home. In her previous years with our school, Ma'am Marylou Toledo cultivated a culture of empathy especially during pandemic where we are strongly encourage to continue in our teaching delivery despite of the health crisis. Whether it was empowering students to dream big or supporting faculty in their mission to teach with heart, her leadership left an enduring imprint.

We extend our warmest wishes to Ma'am Marlyn A. Sontosidad, who will be transferring to Telesforo Gargantiel Memorial Elementary School, Brgy. Malabugas, Bayawan City. Her dedication, professionalism, and positive spirit have made a lasting impact on our team, and she will be deeply missed.

During her time with us, Ma'am Marlyn's ten (10) years in service has consistently demonstrated excellence in teaching, leadership, and collaboration. Her contributions to both academic and extracurricular programs especially in sports introducing archery to our young learners have enriched our school community in countless ways.

As she embarks on this new journey, we celebrate her achievements and look forward to the continued success she will bring to her new station. May this next chapter be filled with growth, fulfillment, and exciting opportunities.

Heads Up! 🎉

It's two more days before the May 12 National and Local Election 2025. The school would like to present the sketch plan for the barangay Nagbo-alao voters as our school will be your voting center. This is to ensure of your easy access to your voting area where you could find your precinct number. We also identify areas where you can stay while waiting for your turn to vote.

Should there be any problem locating your precinct number or voting area? Feel free to approach the voter's assistance desk for help or any support staff at their designated clustered precinct.

There shall be no vendor and motorcycle or any vehicle allowed within the school premises to avoid crowded situations.

While everyone is anticipating this national occasion and our right to suffrage, the school wishes everyone to follow the school rules and policies, maintain cleanliness and orderliness of school facilities to help us make this school a better place.

For health and weather concern, you may bring your umbrella and water for your hydration. 😀
