TLE, particularly Home Economics with a focus on cooking, gave me valuable life and work skills such as discipline, organization, and attention to detail. Cooking taught me the importance of cleanliness, proper preparation, and following procedures—principles that are equally important in dentistry. These skills helped me develop a systematic approach to patient care, time management, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality in both my profession and daily life.
2. Was there a particular project or activity in TLE that made a lasting impact on you?
Yes, cooking and meal preparation activities made a lasting impact on me. Learning how to plan meals, measure ingredients correctly, and present food properly taught me patience and consistency. These activities emphasized that preparation and precision are key to achieving good results—lessons that I continue to apply in dentistry, where every step and detail directly affect patient outcomes.
