💣 Our son was a walking time bomb during his recent moving-up ceremony. Like, sure pa po ba kayo he’s the one getting the Best in Christian Living award? We almost wanted to contest it—not because we doubt his potential, but because he’s clearly still in his pasaway era. Honestly, I think mas deserving yung kasector nlang nila (the school owner). The school is well aware of our religious views, so we were just as surprised to see Aqin’s name for this special award. But after some back-and-forth between me and his dad, we figured—maybe there’s something deeper they saw.

Ask him about the Bible and he can tell you stories with meaning. He can explain what’s right, what’s wrong, and often argue his point in a way that makes you question your own behavior towards a little boy who seems to grasp things bigger than his age.

More pack of patience and understanding from both of us, dad.

To our dear son, we are so proud of you. Always remember that we appreciate everything you do—your endless questions, your curiosity, and simply the wonderful person you are. You are the best! Congratulations, and here’s to many more years of learning. We pray you’ll enjoy every step of the journey.
