𝗛𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗻𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝘆𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿

Hindi ko inakalang mararamdaman ko ito: ang maiwan ng byahe. Ang dating sabay-sabay naming pagsampa sa klasrum, ngayon ay tanaw ko na lang mula sa labas. Dati, kasabay ko silang magrereklamo sa quizzes, kumain sa baby, at magbilang ng weeks hanggang finals. Ngayon, ako na lang ang nagbibilang ng taon kung kailan ako muling makakasabay. Irregular na raw ako. Parang hindi na bahagi ng "flow" ng kolehiyo. Parang jeep na may sariling ruta; hindi kasya sa iskedyul ng karamihan, hindi tugma sa ritmo ng batch.

Hindi ito dahil hindi ko kayang sumabay. Pero minsan, ang buhay ay hindi linear. May kailangang aralin muli, ulitin, hintayin. At sa mga panahong tila naiiwan ako sa terminal habang umaandar na ang mga kaibigan ko sa mga susunod na yugto, napapaisip ako kung may puwang pa ba para sa katulad kong naudlot.

Pero natutunan kong hindi ako nabigo—nahuhuli lang. Hindi ako kabawasan sa sistema. Ako'y patunay na may mga landas na hindi kailangang sabayan para makarating. Maaaring mas mahaba ang ruta, mas madalas ang hintuan, mas magastos sa pagod at luha, ngunit umaandar pa rin at pareho parin ang patutunguhan.

Hindi ako kasama sa biyahe,
pero hindi ibig sabihin, natigil ang takbo.
Umaandar pa rin ang buhay.
Kumakapit. Patuloy.
At balang araw, mararating ko rin ang destinasyon ko, kahit sa sariling oras.

𝗔 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀: 𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗚 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗨𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗮 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘂𝗿

With pride in their hearts and passion in their stride, Civil Engineering students turned the 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 into a dazzling haven of elegance and celebration during 𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗚 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗨𝗻𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘂𝗿 held on 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. Donning their finest masks and beaming with excitement, students came together to honor achievements, forge memories, and bid farewell to a defining chapter of their journey.

As a tribute to every student who ventured on a journey filled with mystery and uncertainty, this year’s HANDOG aimed to recognize their courage and unwavering spirit. More than 𝟱𝟴𝟬 students—mostly from the graduating batch—attended the celebration and remembrance of legacy, dressed in their most dashing gowns, suits, and, of course, masks...

Before them lies a future still veiled in mystery—a new world waiting to be explored. But within each soul who once wore a mask, stands a heart brave enough to face it. For in its truest sense, HANDOG is more than a celebration—it is a gift of gratitude, legacy, and appreciation passed on from one generation of dreamers to the next.

Sa saliw ng pampistang ritmo, matagumpay na isinulong ng Association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES) ang ASCENDANCE 2025: Pista ng Galing at Pagkakaisa noong ika-3 ng Mayo 2025 sa Sparta Gymnasium—isang makulay at masiglang pagdiriwang na nagtipon-tipon sa mga estudyante ng Civil Engineering upang ipamalas ang kanilang husay, talento, at diwa ng pagkakaisa.

Sa pagtatapos ng ASCENDANCE 2025, nanatiling buhay ang diwa ng pagkakaisa, kahusayan, at malasakit sa bawat kalahok at dumalo. Ipinamalas ng mga CEblings na higit pa sa mga numero at plano, ang tunay na lakas ng kanilang propesyon ay nasa malayang paghahayag at pagtutulungan sa isa’t isa. Ang matagumpay na pagdiriwang na ito ay nagsilbing patunay na sa gitna ng mga hamon at pag-unlad, ang pagkakabigkis ng komunidad ang siyang tunay na nagpapaangat sa bawat isa—tunay ngang isang ascendance patungo sa mas maliwanag na bukas, na ang durong saya ay yanong kay ganda kung may pagkakaisa.

Sa bawat paggising, tila digmaan— mga alarm na parang sirena,
nagpapaalala ng hangganan ng pagpasa, ng recitation sa klase,
ng exams na 'di ko naman nabasa.

Lumalangoy ako sa papel, mga araling parang buhawi,
naglulunod sa pagod at sa mga gabing walang tulog.

Ngunit sa gitna ng hamon ng pag-aaral, may larawan akong iniingatan:
isang dalampasigan,
kung saan ang dagat ay hindi takot
kundi aliw.

Tahimik ang hampas ng alon,tila bulong ng kapayapaan,
sinasabing,
"𝙄𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙖𝙜𝙡𝙞𝙩 𝙣𝙖 𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙬 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙖."

Doon, wala akong hawak na lapis, wala akong inaalalang marka,
ang bitbit ko’y hangin sa dibdib at tanawin ng kalangitang bughaw
na tila niyayakap ang aking isipan.

Ang dagat ang pahinga sa mundong hindi nagpapahinga.

The first three months of 2025 have been a thrilling ride for the ACES Committee on External and Media Affairs (CoEMA)—a testament to the power of creativity and collaboration.

As the year unfolded, January challenged us to rise above unexpected obstacles, proving our ingenuity and resilience. February and March saw us pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, crafting compelling narratives and visuals that brought each event to life. From behind every pen, screen, or lens—every CoEMA creative played a vital role in shaping the vibrant ongoing story of ACES.
