Nature has its fair share of bizarre creatures, but few are as fascinating as the sea sq**rt, an animal that literally digests its own brain when it no longer needs to think or move.
In its larval stage, the sea sq**rt is an active swimmer, navigating the ocean with the help of a small, primitive brain. But once it finds the perfect spot, typically a rock or coral, it attaches itself permanently. At this point, movement is no longer necessary, so the sea sq**rt absorbs its own brain and nervous system, repurposing the nutrients for survival.
From then on, it spends the rest of its life filter-feeding while remaining completely stationary. It’s nature’s version of achieving ultimate relaxation, find a home, settle in, and never worry about thinking again!
