Kalumboyan National High School ruled the secondary category of the District 7 Sports Meet 2025 with 43 golds, 21 silvers, and 16 bronzes.

Kalamtukan National High School followed with 33 golds, 33 silvers, and 24 bronzes for second place.

Kalumboyan Rural Farm School finished third with 2 golds, 9 silvers, and 4 bronzes.

Cogon National High School landed fourth with 1 gold, 4 silvers, and 6 bronzes.

In the elementary category, Kalumboyan Elementary School also topped the medal tally with 18 golds, 15 silvers, and 12 bronzes.

Kalamtukan Elementary School ranked second with 18 golds, 10 silvers, and 6 bronzes.

Damig Elementary School placed third with 6 golds, 8 silvers, and 4 bronzes.

Kalumpang Elementary School followed in fourth with 5 golds, 5 silvers, and 8 bronzes.

Cogon Elementary School ended in fifth with 3 golds, 7 silvers, and 6 bronzes.

Lunoy Elementary, Uban-Uban Elementary, and Baisan Elementary completed the standings.

Kalumboyan’s sweep in both categories highlighted its athletic dominance and strong sports club program.

Kalumboyan National High School (KNHS) officially wrapped up School Press Conference (SPC) gathering campus journalists, speakers, and coaches for the awarding of winners, at the KNHS SHS TVL building, Tuesday, September 16.

Ma'am Christine Lorraine T. Tijing, Public Schools District Supervisor of District 7 emphasized that every student who dares to write and speak is already a champion and reminded young journalists that their words have the power to inspire and create change.

"You are already a champion, because you dared to write, you dared to speak," she uttered.

"Above all, you are a champion, because you dare to inspire," she added.

Sir Welkin Jay Balingit, broadcaster coach of the DUHAT school publication, also shared an inspiring message on how courage sparks a good start.

"For you to take on the challenge, is already a good start of our generation," he said.

The SPC was more than just a contest, it was a platform where students showed their skills in writing, broadcasting, and cartooning both in English and Filipino category.

As the event ends, Kalumboyan NHS celebrates not only the winners, but all students who joined with courage and passion and through journalism, they can continue to make a difference.

𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

The Black Panthers of Grade 11 roared to victory in the Kalumboyan National High School Intramurals 2025, emerging as overall champions with 26 gold, 9 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

Blue Hawks of Grade 10 placed second with 14 gold, 17 silver, and 11 bronze medals, showing strength and consistency across events.

Violet Vultures of Grade 12 secured third place with 12 gold, 17 silver, and 7 bronze medals.

Red Bulls of Grade 9 tallied 10 gold, 11 silver, and 9 bronze medals, finishing close behind the top three.

Yellow Cheetahs of Grade 8 earned 3 gold, 7 silver, and a remarkable 33 bronze medals, proving their endurance in multiple competitions.

Green Pythons of Grade 7 wrapped up the medal count with 2 silver and 3 bronze medals, showing determination despite their young lineup.

Exciting events such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, boxing, athletics, and table tennis filled the courts and field with action and energy.

The games brought together students, teachers, and parents who cheered enthusiastically for their teams.

Beyond the medal count, the event highlighted teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among the athletes.

The two-day sportsfest concluded on August 29 with pride for all athletes who gave their best and competed with honor.

Dr. Ramir B. Uytico, CESO III, Regional Director of the Department of Education–Negros Island Region (DepEd-NIR), visited Kalumboyan National High School (KNHS) on Wednesday, August 20, as part of his Educational Visit and the Division Convergence of Education Leaders (DCEL) 2025.

Joining him were Atty. Anthony H. Liobet, OIC Assistant Regional Director, together with the regional team and division personnel led by Dr. Anelito A. Bongcawil, Schools Division Superintendent of Bayawan City.

The visit showcased KNHS’s best practices and facilities, including the School Garden, Mini Park, Breastfeeding Room, and the Mini Bakery.

Dr. Uytico praised the school for developing functional and learner-centered spaces that promote growth, discipline, and community engagement.

He emphasized that these initiatives strengthen the delivery of quality education and holistic support for learners while fostering stronger collaboration among education leaders.

The KNHS administration considered the visit a significant recognition of the school’s continuing efforts to provide a supportive and learner-friendly environment.
