๐๐๐๐ | LGU Bayawan City Scholars Host First Year-End Gala at NORSU ARENA
Bayawan City, July 2, 2024 โ The LGU Bayawan City Scholars celebrated their inaugural year-end Gala at the NORSU ARENA, marking a significant milestone for the organization. Themed "Honoring and Celebrating Achievements in Learning and Noble Causes, and Cultivating Personal Growth," the event drew scholars in black and white attire for a day of activities and recognition.
The event commenced at 9 am with team-building activities. Scholars participated in challenges such as Bisaya Message Relay, Zombie Walk, Draw This, Letter Videoke, Guess What, Out of Reach, and Numbering. Winners received certificates and points, with additional contests for the best group vlogs.
Following the morning activities, scholars elected new officers for the 2024-2025 academic year. This led to the election of federated officers for the LGU Bayawan City Scholars. At 2 pm, the afternoon session began with a red carpet walk featuring scholars, guests, and federated officers. The event included the first-ever Miss LBSO pageant, where Miss Fegenia M. Ricafort was crowned.Honorable Mayor John T. Raymond Jr. and City Counselor Engr. Rusmar Tijing attended the Gala, offering motivational speeches and presenting certificates to graduating scholars. The newly elected federated officers took their oaths, with outgoing President Ms. Alyanna Donguines handing over responsibilities to incoming President Ms. Angel Mae Octaviano.
The Gala concluded with an 8 pm dinner, during which winners of the team-building activities and vlog contest were announced. The event ended on a high note, celebrating the scholars' achievements and growth.
