September Community Service

Today, Team A, Team B, and Team C of the Bayawan City LGU Scholars joyfully conducted our Feeding Program at Barangay Tinago, Bayawan City, as our way of giving back to the community that continues to support and inspire us.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Barangay Captain, Hon. Gina Ingan, together with the Barangay Kagawad and SK Officials, for their support, guidance, and warm cooperation that made this activity possible.

This simple act of service is our way of showing kindness, unity, and our bayanihan spirit as scholars of Bayawan City.

LBSO August Community Service 2025

Last August 16, 2025, the LBSO Scholars took part in a meaningful community service activity at Barangay Suba near the new Paunay Shoreline, in partnership and guidance of the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) – Bayawan City.

This initiative reflects our commitment as Bayawan City Scholars to uphold cleanliness, order, and care for the environment—continuing our legacy of service for the community we are proud to serve.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | LGU Bayawan City Scholars Host First Year-End Gala at NORSU ARENA



Bayawan City, July 2, 2024 – The LGU Bayawan City Scholars celebrated their inaugural year-end Gala at the NORSU ARENA, marking a significant milestone for the organization. Themed "Honoring and Celebrating Achievements in Learning and Noble Causes, and Cultivating Personal Growth," the event drew scholars in black and white attire for a day of activities and recognition.

The event commenced at 9 am with team-building activities. Scholars participated in challenges such as Bisaya Message Relay, Zombie Walk, Draw This, Letter Videoke, Guess What, Out of Reach, and Numbering. Winners received certificates and points, with additional contests for the best group vlogs.

Following the morning activities, scholars elected new officers for the 2024-2025 academic year. This led to the election of federated officers for the LGU Bayawan City Scholars. At 2 pm, the afternoon session began with a red carpet walk featuring scholars, guests, and federated officers. The event included the first-ever Miss LBSO pageant, where Miss Fegenia M. Ricafort was crowned.Honorable Mayor John T. Raymond Jr. and City Counselor Engr. Rusmar Tijing attended the Gala, offering motivational speeches and presenting certificates to graduating scholars. The newly elected federated officers took their oaths, with outgoing President Ms. Alyanna Donguines handing over responsibilities to incoming President Ms. Angel Mae Octaviano.



The Gala concluded with an 8 pm dinner, during which winners of the team-building activities and vlog contest were announced. The event ended on a high note, celebrating the scholars' achievements and growth.

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈| LGU Bayawan City Scholars Lead Cleanup Initiative

Bayawan City, June 26, 2024 — In a concerted effort to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of Bayawan City, the Local Government Unit (LGU) Bayawan City Scholars organized a special cleanup event dubbed the "Pulot Plastic Program."

The scholars dispersed across various public areas, including Suba Coastal, GK Village, Bawad Street, and streets near the cemetery. Divided into groups, each pair of scholars was equipped with trash bags to collect litter in their assigned locations.

The cleanup event, which lasted several hours, resulted in a significant reduction of litter in these areas. The scholars' dedication and hard work demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and community service. "The Pulot Plastic Program showcases the power of teamwork and community spirit," a representative from the LGU Bayawan City remarked. "Our scholars have set a commendable example of how collective efforts can lead to meaningful improvements in our city."

This initiative underscores the importance of community involvement in maintaining public spaces and highlights the role of youth in driving positive environmental change. The LGU Bayawan City Scholars' cleanup campaign not only contributed to the city's cleanliness but also fostered a sense of civic responsibility among the participants.

The Pulot Plastic Program is expected to inspire similar initiatives in the future, encouraging more residents to participate in keeping Bayawan City clean and beautiful.

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈 | LGU Bayawan City Scholars Join the Celebration for the 23rd Charter Day Anniversary of Bayawan City

Bayawan City celebrated its 23rd Charter Day Anniversary with the theme “Kita ang Bayawan.” The event saw enthusiastic participation from the LGU Bayawan City Scholars, led by their federated President, Ms. Alyanna T. Donguines, particularly in the Parade of Lights on December 23, 2023.

The Charter Day celebration began with a Eucharistic Mass at St. Tomas de Villanueva Parish from 4:00 to 5:00 a.m., followed by the Parade of Lights. Team presidents and members sang Christmas jingles and used various lighting materials. The parade concluded at the Belen Area for Painit sa Boulevard, where participants enjoyed Zumba sessions and live performances. Despite the early start and cool weather, the scholars' dedication and enthusiasm added to the joyous atmosphere.

Heartfelt thanks are extended to all participants, especially the scholars, whose involvement demonstrated their love and commitment to Bayawan City. Their participation was crucial to the event’s success, showcasing the unity and pride of the Bayawan community.
