Brokenness Before Promotion

Text: Genesis 37–41

Joseph had a dream—but the path to it didn’t look like favor.
It looked like betrayal, silence, and suffering.

Vision → Pit → Servanthood → Prison → Palace

What God showed him in a moment took years to fulfill.

The pit wasn’t the end.
Servanthood wasn’t a setback.
The prison wasn’t punishment.

It was process.

Principle: God often breaks before He uses.
Not to destroy you—but to shape you.

Because a dream without character can’t be sustained.

Yes, “the greater the dream, the greater the pain.”
But also—the greater the calling, the deeper the preparation.

Joseph wasn’t just being promoted—
He was being prepared to carry the weight of it.

Reflection:
Maybe what feels like breaking is actually God building you.
Don’t rush the palace—grow in the process.
