“GINTONG TALA: Star of Hope, Lighting the Lives of Fisherfolk”

The parol entry is a design concept that represents the naturally vibrant colors of the province—green and yellow—and draws inspiration from the flourishing fishery industry in Nueva Vizcaya.
Various recycled materials, each with a symbolic meaning are combined to construct the parol.
Displayed with pride, the anchor, which stands for the Bureau's unwavering steadfastness in upholding its mandate to consistently assist and support marginalized fisherfolk in the hope of a prosperous and better tomorrow.
The fish (Tilapia) and fishing net interlaced on the center represents bountiful harvest and symbolizes abundance, success and prosperity in the landlocked province of Nueva Vizcaya. Just like the deep and vast ocean, the jellyfish and stingray shape, symbolizes unity, harmony and cultural diversity. Holding it up are the Bakki/kawayan and ropes, which signifies the strength and solid ties between PFO Vizcaya and its fisherfolk.
PFO Nueva Vizcaya is transforming not just ordinary materials into extraordinary and spectacular work of art but as well as empowering the lives of fisherfolk.
