Tracking Muir Wolf: Where is he? ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ’ญ

Heโ€™s closer nowโ€ฆ I can feel it. Somewhere deeper in the heart of the forest, like heโ€™s almost reached the middle where all paths seem to meet.

But even now, nothing is clear. Every direction still feels uncertain, every step still unsure. He might be near the way outโ€ฆ or still just as lost as before, not knowing which path will lead him home. He could be just beyond the next turn, or right where the trees start to blur together.

Hold onโ€”can you already see him? Comment down below. ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿบ
Weโ€™re getting closer!

Rrrrrโ€ฆ awoooo!! Can anyone hear me? ๐ŸŒ•๐Ÿบ

Itโ€™s been a while, but weโ€™re still searching for Muir Wolf. The forest hasnโ€™t changed for the betterโ€”only colder winds, heavier skies, and paths that feel less and less familiar with every step.

Out there, heโ€™s still movingโ€ฆ still trying to find his way. But with this unpredictable weather, every step must feel harder, like the forest is quietly pushing back against him. And yet, thereโ€™s still a howl.

Quick!! Spot him.
He could be anywhereโ€”hidden between shadows, lost in the silence, or just beyond the sound you almost heard.
Stay alertโ€ฆ the countdown continues.

Uh-oh! Muir Wolf is missingโ€ฆ have you seen him? ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ‘€

A distant howl slips through the quiet woodsโ€”soft, broken, like itโ€™s searching for something it canโ€™t quite name. Somewhere beyond the forest, Muir Wolf is lost.

He tries to find his way back, but the woods never stay the same. Every path he steps into seems to disappear right afterโ€ฆno tracks to follow, no signs to hold onto, just endless trees at a sight.

The woods are too quiet, broken only by distant howls asking to be heard.

Look closely. Listen carefully.

Before the countdown begins, letโ€™s find Muir Wolf. Help us bring him back! ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ”

Golden sunlight cut across the blue sky as Muir Wolf slipped off the school campus, moving past hallways and shut doors. The weather felt warm that drawn him to keep pushing toward the woodsโ€”as though heโ€™d heard a call from far away, beyond anything he could be guaranteed of.

In the dim, shadowy forest, where tall trees rise forever and green stretches on and on, the wolf ventures by himself alone. Time feels slower through the woods, the worldโ€™s noise fades away, and every leaf that rustles seems to hold a story no one has ever heard.

When Muir Wolf finally returns: Will he be the same wolf who once wandered off, or will he emerge as someone even more a-MWAI-zing than before, carrying new wisdom he gathered deep in the woods? โœจ๐ŸŒณ

๐—ก๐—˜๐—ช๐—ฆ | MWAI rolls out Brigada Eskwela 2026 through SSLG-Led initiative, eyes campus upgrades

โ€œWith efficient spaces, better learning gains.โ€

As school year 2026-2027 classes are set to open in the coming weeks, the school community, together with the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Muir Woods Academy, Inc. (MWAI) formally mobilized Brigada Eskwela 2026, seeking to help ensure a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment among the entire school communityโ€”June 3.

Brigada Eskwela, also known as the National Schoolsโ€™ Maintenance Week, contributes to the improvement of school environments nationwide by repairing and maintaining school facilities through collective efforts, unity, and cooperation of the school community, wherein it is conducted annually ahead of the opening of each academic year.

Amid transition to the trimester system and the implementation of changes in the Senior High School curriculum while maintaining the previous curriculum for graduating students, the Brigada Eskwela places emphasis on preparations both physically and academically.

โ€œFor this yearโ€™s Brigada Eskwela, the focus is more on preparing all aspects of the educational environment, especially with the transition to the trimester system and the implementation of changes in the Senior High School curriculum while still retaining the previous curriculum for the graduating batch," said Marc Eldridge Bernabe, SSLG adviser.

Such several facility improvements have already been completed, including maintenance of comfort rooms, canteen sanitation upgrades, roof repairs, and servicing of air-conditioning and ventilation units, alongside preparations for SSLG-led physical projects such as trash bins, greenery, and sound system utilities.

In coordination with the SSLG, the school is also bolstering student resilience through orientation activities and initiatives, particularly the Campus Connect to foster stronger teacherโ€“student relationships and smoother transition into the academic year.

The school, likewise, implements the Stoplight Evaluation system, which categorizes programs into Green (continue), Yellow (improve), and Red (discontinue)โ€”serving as a tool for assessing and strengthening school initiatives.

Aside from facility maintenance and campus improvements, current preparations are centered on instructional and academic concerns, including lesson planning, class scheduling, and teacher-enhancement programs.

Educators are currently undergoing In-Service Training (INSET) to enhance teaching competencies and align with curriculum updates, while the SSLG supports planning and student engagement initiatives under the General Plan of Action (GPOA) and S.P.E.C.I.A.L framework, a year-long objective of the organization.

Despite unpredictable weather conditions, such as extreme heat followed by heavy rainfall, which could interrupt cleanup operations and preparation activities, the school community remains steadfast in upholding a secured environment for the students.

Driven by MWAIโ€™s dedication and joint undertaking to school development, the community actively engaged in Brigada Eskwela 2026 with cleaning, rebuilding, and organizing classrooms and facilitiesโ€”fostering a secure, well-maintained, as well as student-friendly learning environment for all, ahead of the upcoming academic year.

๐Ž๐๐ˆ๐๐ˆ๐Ž๐ | Wholehearted, Not Obligated

Bayanihan is not coerced generosity. It is voluntary collective action grounded in shared responsibility. Yet in the implementation of Brigada Eskwela, this principle has been steadily weakened by a system that increasingly normalizes teacher-subsidized school readiness. What should be a government-supported, community-driven initiative has, in practice, placed an unfair financial burden on public school educators.

Brigada Eskwela, introduced by the Department of Education (DepEd) in 2003, was designed to mobilize stakeholders in preparing schools for the opening of classes. It was never intended to rely on individual sacrifice, but on coordinated community participation. However, its implementation over the years has exposed a widening gap between policy intent and ground reality.

Despite DepEdโ€™s continuous call for stakeholder engagement, multiple teacher accounts and education sector reports consistently point to the same concern: when resources fall short, teachers are compelled to shoulder expenses from their own pockets. Cleaning materials, minor repairs, printing needs, and basic classroom supplies are often financed personally just to ensure that classrooms are usable on opening day. While often framed as dedication, this practice reflects a deeper institutional failureโ€”one that normalizes personal subsidy as part of public service.

This pattern is neither new nor isolated. It reflects a long-standing systemic gap in Philippine public education: delayed resource allocation, insufficient school maintenance funding, and overreliance on voluntary contributions. Even with support from Local Government Units (LGUs) and education partners, assistance remains inconsistent and reactive rather than structured and guaranteed. As a result, teachers are repeatedly positioned as default absorbers of system inefficiencies.

DepEd Memorandum No. 20, s. 2023, which removed competitive recognition for Best Brigada Eskwela Implementers, was a step toward restoring the programโ€™s original collaborative intent. However, removing competition alone does not resolve the structural issue. The absence of awards did not eliminate the expectation for schoolsโ€”and ultimately teachersโ€”to ensure readiness regardless of available resources.

The problem is no longer conceptual; it is operational. When educators are consistently expected to bridge funding and supply gaps using personal resources, โ€œbayanihanโ€ ceases to be shared responsibility and becomes institutionalized burden-shifting.
This practice must be explicitly and immediately dismantled through enforceable policy and funding mechanisms, not goodwill-based reliance.

DepEd must institutionalize a pre-positioned Brigada Eskwela resource allocation system, mandating that essential supplies and maintenance funds are released to schools before implementation beginsโ€”not during or after community mobilization. Readiness cannot depend on post-hoc fundraising or informal solicitation.

Local Government Units must establish a mandatory annual school maintenance assistance fund, integrated into local budgeting, with direct and guaranteed allocation for Brigada Eskwela materials. This must move beyond optional donations and become a standardized and legally supported obligation for all LGUs.

At the school level, full financial transparency and expenditure tracking must be strictly enforced, ensuring that teacher personal spending is never normalized as part of school readiness. Institutional gaps must not be routinely filled through individual sacrifice, and no system should implicitly expect educators to subsidize operational needs.

Most critically, DepEd must reinforce clear policies that discourage and do not normalize the use of personal funds for school preparation, while strengthening accountability mechanisms that ensure schools are adequately resourced. Teachers must be supported by systems that function reliably, not by expectations of personal financial contribution.

Brigada Eskwela will only return to its intended purpose when responsibility is correctly distributed where it belongs. Bayanihan cannot exist in an environment where one sector is repeatedly expected to compensate for systemic gaps. Genuine collaboration requires institutional readiness, guaranteed resources, and enforceable safeguardsโ€”not the quiet burdening of educators.

I Goodness gracious, it is already Pride Month!

The Month of Pride has finally arrivedโ€”an impeccable celebration of acceptance, equality, and inclusivityโ€”with uplifting stories among different genders worldwide.

Nowadays, the LGBTQIA+ community has endured a variety of struggles for fairness including discrimination, harassment, and violence. Amidst all those witnessed injustices, they never lost sight of their path and proudly chose to raise their flags and voices.

โ€œPara it is a-tay!โ€โ€”a witty line from the movie, which is a translation of โ€œfor it to be a tie!โ€ Indeed, the dialogue aimed not only to add humor to the scene but also to unveil the real meaning. As we celebrate with our LGBTQIA+ community, we should continue to establish a comprehensive and welcoming environment that lasts beyond every monthโ€”UPANG ANG LAHAT AY PANTAY-PANTAY!

Ultimately, Pride Month is not just a one-time event. Wherever destiny takes you, be proud of what you have conquered, continue to be empowered, and never feel reluctant about making decisions for yourself. Just like in the movie Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy, Vice Ganda is truly a striking example of embodying one's authentic self.

Continue to bloom like a flowerโ€”do not stay confined inside those rooms; open your doors and show everyone how resilient you are. Maging totoo sa iyong pagkatao!
