𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | MWAI Start Up Ako" bolsters Grade 12 studes' entrepreneurial skills

Strengthening the entrepreneurial capabilities among the Grade 12 students of Muir Woods Academy, Inc. (MWAI), the "MWAI Start Up Ako" exhibit has been officially launched at the Amazing Grace Gymnasium, October 9.

Various booths, facilitated by groups of students from all strands, filled up the entire gym, advertising different products, which sought to boost their marketing competencies.

Featured booths include Rack & Snack, Hocus Croffles, The Grand Fair Ground, Muir Memories Photobooth, Potato Avenue, Tako Fizz, Toss and Slurp, Fruit Slash Dip, Campus Carnival, and Shake, Rattle, and Oreo.

Subsequently, guest judges visited each booth to evaluate presentations, provide constructive feedback, and share insights to help improve the students’ entrepreneurial skills.

The success of the event reflected weeks of preparation, during which students developed and refined their ideas, strategies, and business plans under the guidance of their entrepreneurship teacher, Angelo Aban.

The bazaar, themed "Fueling Young Minds, Sparking Big Ideas, Building Tomorrow's Entrepreneurs," highlighted the students’ prowess in entrepreneurship, showcasing their creativity, communication skills, and collaboration.

Offering further opportunities for the entrepreneurs to enhance their business experience, the event continues on October 10–11 with an open bazaar for all students and external visitors.

𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 | MWAI honors educators, celebrates Teachers' Day

In commemoration of World Teachers’ Day, students of Muir Woods Academy, Inc. (MWAI) gathered at the Amazing Grace Gymnasium to express their gratitude to the teachers, October 8.

The celebration kicked off with teachers taking part in a special presentation, dressed in the school’s Wednesday Attire prepared by their students, setting a vibrant tone for the event.

Following this, the Siglaya Arts Guild energized the stage with a lively dance performance dedicated to the teachers.

To keep the festive spirit alive, the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG) spearheaded a series of fun activities exclusively for teachers, including Tumbang Preso (with a bucket of rice grains as the prize), Pabitin featuring treats such as chips, pens, and markers, and Catch the Chicken.

Adding to the heartfelt celebration, video tributes were presented created by each class, expressing their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers’ unwavering commitment and hard work.

The event also featured intermission numbers, including performances by the Jamming After School band and solo vocal showcases by Janver Tayamen and Nigella Hilary Florino.

Through the students’ collective efforts, MWAI once again highlighted the significance of World Teachers’ Day and the invaluable dedication of educators in shaping the future of their students.

Every great mission begins with a guide, and in our case, that guide is none other than our beloved teachers. This 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐃𝐚𝐲, the 𝐒𝐒𝐋𝐆 launches 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: 𝐌𝐀𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎, a special 3-part dossier spotlighting the true agents of knowledge.

For 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 1, we present our 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬, decoded through the eyes of their students. From signature moves, fun facts, to legendary one-liners, these details prove that our teachers aren’t just educators… they’re legends in their own right.

This is only the 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. 7 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬. 3 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬. 1 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: to honor the heroes who make every learner’s journey possible.

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬! This mission is far from over!

Thank You, Teachers!

Today, October 5, 2025, we celebrate one of the most special days of the year, Teachers' Day. A day to honor and appreciate the people who dedicated their hearts to teaching and devoted their time, energy and passion into shaping our minds and character.

Teachers are more than just educators. They are our second parents, mentors, and friends. They stay patient even when we struggle, encourage us when we feel lost, and believe in us when we doubt ourselves. Behind every lesson they teach is love, effort, and a genuine wish for our success.

On this special day, we want to say thank you to all our teachers. Thank you for waking up early, preparing lessons, checking papers, and always being there for your students. Thank you for your kindness, sacrifices, and dedication. Your hard work will not go unnoticed.

Happy Teacher’s Day to all the amazing teachers! You truly make the world a better place.

𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗦 𝗣𝗘𝗢𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗦' 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 | A nation's wealth exceeds its amount of gold, silver, or even precious pearls. The true wealth of our nation exists within its people, especially the indigenous communities who safeguard our cultural heritage and natural environment and history.

This Indigenous Peoples' Month, we are reminded to honor, support, and stand with them. As they continue to fight for their identity and recognition, we stand as one because it is not just their battles but ours as a whole Nation. With the theme “Weaving Culture, Enriching Future: Empowering Indigenous Communities as Bedrock of Sustainable Development” this celebration showcases the unique skills, traditions, and the wisdom passed down to Filipino Indigenous peoples.

The celebration of this month serves to demonstrate that the Philippines achieves its power through its diverse set of people. It recognizes the Indigenous peoples important role in environmental protection and cultural preservation while bringing attention to their ongoing challenges of losing their land and facing discrimination and cultural destruction. Our recognition of their worth and importance enables us to defend their rights and preserve their long-standing heritage for the upcoming generations. Honoring them requires us to take action by amplifying their voices and safeguarding their rights while fighting for justice. For The true treasure of the Philippines will always be its people. 𝗩𝗦

𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 | MWAI jins Enriquez, Cordova bags silver at Luzon Best of the Best tilt

Muir Woods Academy’s Inc. (MWAI) poomsae athletes, Noward Hlway Enriquez and Jacques Daniel Cordova, brought home silver medals in their respective divisions at the 2025 Luzon Best of the Best Taekwondo Championships held at Tomas Dacayo Gymnasium, September 28.

Enriquez captured silver in Pool B, while Cordova secured his in Pool A, underscoring the skill and determination of MWAI athletes as they continue to make their mark in the regional poomsae competition.

Adding to the team’s medal haul, Enriquez teamed up with Nalla Yssabelle Corpuz to claim bronze in the Poomsae Pair division, showcasing outstanding teamwork and precision.

These victories highlight the growing talent and dedication within MWAI, signaling a promising future for the team in upcoming Taekwondo competitions. 𝙑𝙎

Our reimagined logo is not just a design. It is a living story of identity, resilience, and truth. Each stroke and each symbol carries the voice of every MWAI campus journalist who dares to write, speak, and stand with courage.

The feather shaped in VOX represents the voice. It is the voice of truth, learning, and valor, echoing louder and prouder. The flowing ‘S’ signature embodies authenticity. It is a mark of commitment and the distinct identity every learner leaves in the world. The rising arm of the V symbolizes resilience. It shows the determination to reach higher despite challenges. The pen’s tip joined with the feather signifies creation. It reminds us that knowledge is not only to be absorbed but also written, shared, and amplified.

This transformation is more than a change of face. It is a declaration.
We are redefining the way we tell stories.
