The Provincial Nutrition Committee-Technical Working Group (PNC-TWG) reaffirmed its commitment to improving the health and nutrition status of the province in the monitoring session of provincial nutrition committee, held at the Provincial Health Office and Multipurpose Building, BeGH compound, La Trinidad, Benguet.
To provide valuable insights into how well local nutrition programs are performing and where improvements may be needed, a presentation of the MELLPI results for Local Government Units (LGUs) was delivered by Ms. Marilyn Mesa. In addition, Ms. Amelia Cayap presented the results of Operation Timbang (OPT). The PNC members from various agencies have also provided updates, reinforcing a collaborative reflection on the current efforts of the group.
The Provincial Nutrition Committee plays a vital role in overseeing the implementation of various nutrition programs, projects, and activities across the province. Effective monitoring is an important part of this process, as it ensures that targeted outputs are being met, desired outcomes are achieved, and any necessary actions can be promptly addressed. This activity is part of the committeeโs strategy to maintain continuous oversight and accountability in program implementation.
The meeting was presided over by Dr. Andrew Chamson M. Bacuso from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and was attended by key members of the PNC-TWG.
