Dati, literal ko silang buhat (sabay pa minsan)!
Ako ang taga-ligpit ng kalat, taga-suot ng sapatos, taga-kuha ng gatas, taga-bukas ng biskwit, at taga-damay sa bawat iyak.

Ngayon, kahit 5 at 2 pa lang sila, ramdam ko na ‘yung unti-unting paglaki.
‘Yung panganay ko, marunong na magligpit ng laruan, nagbubukas na ng pinto, at minsan nagtuturo pa sa kapatid niya.
‘Yung bunso ko, nakikita ko na rin ‘yung eagerness matutong gumawa mag-isa like ginagaya ang kapatid niya, at minsan, pinipilit kunin kahit mabigat.

Nakaka-proud.
Pero totoo, may kurot din.
Kasi habang natututo sila, unti-unti ko ring nararamdaman na hindi na ako laging “first call” sa lahat ng bagay.

Napakaaga pa, pero ang bilis ng panahon.
At bilang nanay, kahit pagod, kahit paulit-ulit ang routine napapaisip ako, darating ang araw…
hindi na ako ang kailangan nila gaya ngayon.

Kaya habang maliit pa sila, habang gusto pa nila ng yakap ko sa pagtulog, habang ako pa rin ang superhero nila ay siksikin ko muna ang bawat sandali.

Dahil hindi habangbuhay ganito sila kaliit…
pero habangbuhay, nanay nila ako. 🥹👩‍👧‍👦

FREELANCING: NOT ALWAYS A FAIRYTALE 💻✨
Behind the wins, there's a side no one talks about.

Freelancing isn’t always what people imagine it to be.
Akala ng iba, masaya lang, easy money, and flexible lifestyle?

Well... YES, masaya talaga!
✅ Dollar rate ang kita
✅ Nasa bahay ka lang
✅ Pwede ka magtrabaho kahit nasa galaan
✅ Pwede ka mag-upskill anytime
✅ You can work with multiple clients

Sounds like a dream, right?
And it is, lalo na pag nakuha mo na yung momentum mo — consistent clients, closed contracts, stable income.
You can afford things you want, travel when you like, eat wherever buy whatever — especially kung wala ka pang ibang responsibilidad.

BUT AS A FREELANCER WHO’S ALSO A PARENT?
It’s a different story. It’s like riding a roller coaster — thrilling but exhausting.

👶 May kids na mangungulit habang nagtatrabaho ka
🧹 Gawain bahay na walang katapusan
🌙 Puyat sa gabi, pagod sa umaga
⏳ Struggle to balance time between work and family

At alam mo yung pinakamasakit?
Yung moment na narealize mong kahit nasa bahay ka, wala ka pa ring quality time sa mga mahal mo.
Dahil sa sobrang grind mo — just to reach that 6-digit milestone — nawawala ka sa mga sandaling hindi mo na mababalikan.

I’ve been there.

Minsan, masyado tayong driven, to the point na hindi na natin napapansin...
May mga bagay na di na natin nagagawa, kasi iba na ang focus natin.
May times din na malungkot ka. Totoo yan.

🏡 Nasa bahay ka lang, buong araw.
😞 Wala ka nang ibang kausap.
📉 Feeling mo lumiit ang mundo mo.
😔 Parang disconnected ka na sa mga dati mong kasama’t ginagawa.
👕 At minsan, insecurity hits hard — dahil hindi ka required mag-ayos, nawawala rin yung dating confidence mo.

At ang pinaka-worst?
Yung TAKOT.
Yung takot na baka bukas, wala ka nang client.
Yes, freelancing is NOT a stable job.
Today, they need you. Tomorrow, they might not.
Ganun kabilis ang takbo dito.
And if you’re not emotionally ready for that, it can really lead to anxiety and self-doubt.

That’s why after all these years in freelancing, I always say:

"Know the dark side of freelancing too."
Because expectations don’t always match reality.

Hindi araw-araw fairytale. Hindi lahat ng freelancers ay success story agad.
Kaya bago ka tumalon sa mundo ng freelancing — think 10x.
