The 104th CDC, 1RCDG, RCPA Participated in the 127th Independence Day Flag Raising and Wreath Laying ceremonies
Every 12th day of June we are commemorating the sacrifices made by our heroes and at the same time honor the present sacrifices of our men in uniform particularly soldiers of the Philippine Armed Forces. For this year, simultaneous commemoration activities nationwide were made to celebrate the 127th Independence Day in honor of our heroes who fought for our independence.
The 104th CDC, 1RCDG, Rescom PA under COL FELIPE C MARTINEZ JR CE (GSC) PA participated during the flag raising and wreath laying ceremonies held at the Municipality of Binmaley, Pangasinan with the organic personnel of 104th CDC, members of 104th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBN) led by CPT MICHAEL L JAVIER O-153694 OS PA (Res), the Advance ROTC Cadets from PhilCST and Pangasinan State University ROTC units with the PNP and BFP personnel and the Local Government Officials of Binmaley led by HON PETER A MERRERA III, Municipal Mayor of Binmaley, Pangasinan
HON MERRERA III addressed the AFP, PNP, BFP and LGU officials and employees with a message grounded in duty, patriotism, and service. In his speech, he emphasized the crucial role of Men in Uniform play in national defense and disaster response, especially in times of crisis and the unwavering service of the local government employees towards the nation.
He likewise emphasized how crucial it is to commemorate the country's struggle for independence. It can be highlighted through unity and collaboration among the local officials, government workers, uniformed personnel and other government and civic organizations in honoring the country’s heritage and freedom.
