Eco Action Spotlight: In a united effort to promote environmental protection and community development, the ROTC cadets, in partnership with a local NGO, the Philippine Army units, and the Local Government Unit of San Nicolas, successfully conducted a Tree Planting Activity.

On September 14, 2025, a tree planting activity spearheaded by the Frontliners Associations of the Philippines, Inc. (FAPI), led by PBGEN HARRIS FAMA PNP (RET) as the Lead Convenor with the participation of the 104th Community Defense Center led by COL FELIPE C. MARTINEZ JR., CE (GSC) PA, Director, along with 110 MAVC ROTC cadets and Training Staff, headed by CPT MICHAEL I. JAVIER (OS) PA (RES), Commandant, personnel from the Philippine National Police, and Bravo Company of the 71st Infantry Battalion, 7th Infantry Division, PA and other NGOs in Dagupan City in coordination with the Local Government of San Nicolas. A total of 500 fruit-bearing tree seedlings provided by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) successfully planted during the said tree planting activity.

This initiative highlights the spirit of bayanihan and shared responsibility in preserving our environment for future generations. Through simple yet meaningful actions, we move closer to building a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable environment.

Together, we plant not just trees but also hope and commitment for a better tomorrow.

104th CDC hold its 1st ROTC Commandants Conference for SY 2025-26.

On 061330 September 2025, dynamic personnel from this center, under the leadership of COL FELIPE C. MARTINEZ JR. CE (GSC, PA), Director, hosted a pivotal Commandants Conference at Headquarters 104th Community Defense Center, 1RCDG, RCPA, in San Isidro Norte, Binmaley, Pangasinan. This gathering brought together key figures, including ROTC Commandants, NSTP Directors, ROTC Coordinators, Training Staff, and Admin NCOs. The discussion focused on strengthening our coordination, aligning training programs, and addressing key concerns to further enhance the implementation of the ROTC programs to all the ROTC units in Pangasinan West. The agenda was rich and comprehensive, covering essential policies, SOPs, and directives, as well as some provisions from RA 9163, particularly on the administration and implementation of ROTC programs. Likewise, the upcoming PRG 2025, RAATI issues and concerns, as well as other matters pertaining on the administration of ROTC were discussed.

"Celebrating Excellence: 104th Community Defense Center Wraps Up the 2025 Company Sustainment Training with Inspiring Ceremony"

The 104th Community Defense Center recently concluded its Company Sustainment Training for Calendar Year 2025, marked by a spirited ceremony held at the center's headquarters in San Isidro Norte, Binmaley, Pangasinan. Under the leadership of COL FELIPE C. MARTINEZ JR CE (GSC), PA, the event celebrated the dedication and efforts of personnel involved in the training program. The highlight of the ceremony was an address delivered by LTC BENNIE C. SINGCA INF (GSC) PA, the Battalion Commander of the 71st Infantry Battalion, 7ID, PA as the event’s Guest of Honor and Speaker, who emphasizes the collaborative spirit and the critical importance of military training and readiness in today’s operational environment which he described with the acronym “ BANI” which stands for Brittle, Anxious, Non-Linear and Incomprehensible.

The ceremony likewise acknowledged the contributions of Subject Matter Experts from the 71st Infantry Battalion, who were awarded with certificates for their significant roles in mentoring and developing their fellow service members. The activity was also attended by the officers and members of the 104th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBN)headed by its Acting Battalion Commander LTC EDGAR T. REYNANTE PA (RET), Battalion Commander.

The event not only celebrated the accomplishments of the participants but also reinforced the unwavering commitment to maintaining a state of excellence in defense readiness within the community.

The Municipality of Binmaley, Pangasinan, has taken a significant step to acknowledge the dedicated service of 104RRIBn Army reservists from the 104th Community Defense Center, 1RCDG, RCPA.
