ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1135 FULL SUMMARY - "Sake Cup of Friendship"
Cover Page: Ogre Child Yamato's Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage VOL. 21 - "I'm different now compared to that day!"
Opening Note: "The source of knowledge of the Giants!"
Saul introduces Biblo, the chief librarian of the Library of the Owl, who has existed for centuries. Every book that enters his domain grows in size.
Since Elbaf, as a non-government-affiliated country, doesn’t receive News Coo deliveries, fishermen bring miniature newspapers to the library, where Biblo enlarges them for the giants to read.
Lilith hypothesizes that Biblo likely ate the Iku Iku no Mi ("Nurturing Owl"), granting him the ability to gigantify non-living objects—a perfect ability for the land of giants.
Luffy plays on a swing with the giant children but scares them. Nami beats him up for causing trouble, and Usopp, who tried to intervene, gets caught in the crossfire. The kids run to Gerd, crying.
Luffy gets frustrated and scolds the kids for not acting like warriors. Sanji tries to calm him down, explaining that Elbaf’s children are gentle by nature. However, the kids mischievously smile, similar to Momonosuke’s antics with Nami and Robin.
Sanji fumes: "IS THIS A UNIVERSAL COMMONALITY? YOU SHI**Y KID!"
Luffy is disappointed with the kids’ peaceful demeanor, but Usopp reminds him that Elbaf has grown more tranquil over time. Suddenly, Colon, the giant boy Shanks had spoken to earlier, attacks Luffy with a wooden sword.
The sword shatters on contact, and Luffy retaliates with Gear 3 - Elephant Gun, which Colon narrowly dodges. Usopp scolds Luffy for overreacting, but Luffy insists he held back.
Colon is impressed and acknowledges Luffy’s strength, calling him "an Emperor." The giant girls, however, criticize Colon for being violent.
Ripley, Colon’s mother, scolds him for his actions but praises his bravery. Colon reveals his father was a human and a former pirate. Ripley shares that her husband refused to marry her because he didn’t want to age while she remained young, making her a common-law wife.
Meanwhile, Robin, Lilith, Chopper, and Bonney decide to explore the Library of the Owl. Luffy, still hungry, leaves with the others to attend the feast.
Franky mentions that Elbaf itself is built on the Treasure Tree Adam. Saul explains that various books reference the tree’s presence worldwide, but the age of Elbaf’s Adam surpasses them all.
Gerd provides the crew with new outfits she designed. Brook, Franky, Jinbei, and Robin change into clothes matching the others’ style. Gerd, whose hobby is tailoring for humans, is overjoyed they tried them on.
Near Elbaf’s Western Village, giants confront two mysterious visitors from the previous chapter. The woman demands Loki’s whereabouts, but the giants refuse, labeling Loki as the gaiaku (evil influence) of Elbaf.
Frustrated, the woman attacks, injuring a giant. She coldly declares: "Your head is too high, you impolite fool. I wasn’t asking—I was ordering you to answer."
Her companion’s face remains hidden, but a sword handle resembling Shanks’ Gryphon and Garling’s blade is visible.
The Straw Hats join a grand feast, celebrated by Dorry, Brogy, Kashii, Oimo, and Hajrudin. The giants thank Luffy’s crew for their past deeds in Little Garden, Enies Lobby, and Dressrosa.
They toast to Luffy’s Emperor status and the Straw Hats’ role in toppling Kaido and Big Mom during the Wano Country incident.
"A Sake Cup of Friendship to the Straw Hat Crew! CHEERS!"
Stansen introduces himself to Luffy, who recalls him as the captured giant from Sabaody Archipelago. Stansen reveals he was Hajrudin’s childhood friend and considers it fate that they are now under Luffy’s banner.
Jarul, a legendary giant, arrives at the feast. His intro box reads:
Mountain Beard Jarul
Hero of the Giants
One of the oldest beings in the world – 408 years old
Luffy is shocked to see a sword piercing Jarul’s head.
Luffy: "Hey, old man! A sword has pierced through your head!"
Jarul: "Bojajaja! Thanks to my helmet, I was saved."
Luffy: "But it’s still piercing through it?!"
Ending Note: An Overwhelming Shock!
