JETOUR AUTO PHILIPPINES AND ARANETA CITY LAUNCH “DASHING THROUGH THE GLOW” CAMPAIGN WITH HOLIDAY RAFFLE AND EXTENDED 2026 MALL DISPLAYS

JETOUR Auto Philippines has teamed up with Araneta City to elevate the holiday shopping experience through “Dashing Through the Glow,” a festive campaign that gives shoppers the chance to win a brand-new JETOUR T2 Lightning i-DM Plug-in Hybrid Electric (PHEV) SUV.

Running from November 7, 2025, to February 1, 2026, the promo is part of Araneta City’s holiday celebrations and reflects JETOUR Auto Philippines’ commitment to innovation, sustainability, and immersive lifestyle experiences for Filipino consumers.

For every PHP 1,500 single-receipt purchase made at participating Araneta City malls: Gateway Mall 1 & 2, Ali Mall, and Farmers Plaza, shoppers earn a raffle entry for a chance to win the JETOUR T2 Lightning i-DM, an advanced plug-in hybrid SUV that blends bold design, intelligent technology, and efficient electrified performance.

Beyond the raffle promo, the partnership extends well into 2026 with JETOUR vehicle displays set to tour Araneta City malls throughout the year. Mall-goers can catch the JETOUR lineup up close, explore key features, and experience the brand’s future-forward design philosophy in a dynamic retail setting. These displays aim to bring JETOUR closer to consumers, allowing them to engage with the vehicles beyond traditional showroom visits.

“This collaboration with Araneta City allows us to meet customers where they are at the heart of lifestyle, retail, and community spaces,” said Ms. Cherry May De Los Santos, Marketing Director of JETOUR Auto Philippines. “Through the raffle promo and the ongoing mall displays in 2026, we’re making it easier and more exciting for Filipinos to discover what JETOUR has to offer.”

Araneta City, known as The City of Firsts, with over seven decades of pioneering legacy and milestones in urban lifestyle and property development, continues to strengthen its position as a premier lifestyle destination by partnering with forward-looking brands that enhance the overall customer experience.

MAKE THE NEW YEAR FEEL EASIER: THE TAP LIFE IS HERE

The new year is in full swing, with fresh plans, back-to-work routines, errands, and life settling back into rhythm after the holidays. As days pick up pace again, small inconveniences become more noticeable, like waiting in checkout lines, fumbling for wallets, or typing out full card details online.

Many EastWest cardholders are discovering a easier, simpler workaround: paying with just a tap of their phone through Google Pay™.

Google Pay is now available in the Philippines for compatible Android and Wear OS devices, and EastWest is one of the first local banks to support it. Cardholders can add their EastWest Visa or Mastercard credit card to Google Wallet and start paying instantly — in stores, in apps, and online — without ever reaching for their physical card.

SMOOTHER STEPS THROUGH THE NEW YEAR

Faster grocery runs

The start of the year comes with packed schedules and full carts. Checkout does not have to slow you down. With Google Pay, simply unlock your phone and tap it on the contactless terminal. Payment goes through in seconds. No card swiping, no fumbling, no delay.
Online shopping without typing anything

Restocking essentials? Booking trips? Paying for deliveries?

Google Pay eliminates the need to enter long card numbers or security codes. Select Google Pay at checkout, confirm, and you’re done.

COMMUTING TO AVOID HOLIDAY TRAFFIC

Beat the traffic and take public transport. Taking the MRT-3 can cut your travel time in half and, best of all, it’s tap to pay enabled. Travel safe by keeping your wallet secure in your bag. All you need to do is tap your phone on the turnstile to pay.

WHY THE TAP LIFE WORKS

The value isn’t only speed — it’s the ease you feel.

• It’s secure. Google Wallet uses tokenization, so your real card number isn’t shared with merchants.
• It’s widely accepted. Contactless terminals in groceries, cafés, shops, and more already support tap-to-pay.
• It’s consistent online. Many apps and websites now allow fast checkout through Google Pay.
• It’s convenient. You can head out with just your phone and still pay almost anywhere that accepts contactless payments.

It’s a simple upgrade to everyday life — one that becomes even more meaningful during the busiest time of the year.

EASTWEST’S STEADY PUSH TOWARD EASIER BANKING

By enabling Google Pay for its credit cards, EastWest continues its shift toward easier, modern, and mobile-friendly banking. More card products, including select debit cards, are expected to follow as Google Pay adoption grows in the country.

Sometimes the best upgrades are the ones you barely notice, except for how much lighter your day feels. From paying in store to shopping online, the Bank helps simplify daily tasks so life runs a little more smoothly. The Tap Life brings a quiet sense of ease. A tap at the terminal, a tap online, a tap at the MRT, and you are done.

SM, LRTA INK MOA FOR SM CITY MASINAG-LRT-2 ANTIPOLO STATION INTERCONNECTION ACCESS BRIDGE

SM Prime Holdings, Inc. and the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) officially sealed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the construction of the SM City Masinag–LRT-2 Antipolo Station Interconnection Access Bridge in a signing ceremony recently held at the concourse of the LRT-2 Antipolo Station.

The interconnecting bridge is designed to provide a safe, direct, and weather-protected pedestrian link between LRT-2 Antipolo Station and the mall—addressing a long-standing public need since the station opened and enhancing everyday convenience for commuters and shoppers in Antipolo and the wider East Metro area.

“The interconnection access bridge enhances safety, accessibility, and efficiency for our passengers,” said Atty. Hernando Cabrera, Administrator of the Light Rail Transit Authority. He underscored the value of the partnership between LRTA and SM Prime Holdings, Inc., noting that the project exemplifies how public–private collaboration can deliver practical solutions that improve passenger experience and urban mobility.

“This bridge is designed to serve the Filipino commuter—those who rely on public transport or park-and-ride options—providing safe and convenient access to daily necessities and services,” said Engr. Junias Eusebio, Vice President for Mall Operations of SM Supermalls. He added that the interconnection promotes inclusive mobility, walkability, benefiting commuters, senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), families, and workers, while helping reduce pedestrian spillover, ease traffic along Marcos Highway, and lower carbon emissions in support of SM’s sustainability and urban mobility goals.

Also present during the MOA Signing Ceremony was Engr. Jomar Lua, OIC Director IV of the Rail Standards and Enforcement Office of DOTR; Ms. Evelyn P. Janeo, OIC Business Development and Public Relations of LRTA; Atty. Ronald Redentor De Veyra is the head executive assistant of the administrator of LRTA. Joining them are SM Supermalls Executive Vice President for Marketing, Mr. Joaquin San Agustin; Mr. Egbert Lim, Senior AVP for Mall Project Management; and Mr. Ronald Allan Brosas, Senior AVP for Operations of SM Supermalls, further reinforcing the strong collaboration between government and the private sector in advancing commuter-focused infrastructure.

The construction of the interconnecting bridge is set to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with completion targeted six months later. As part of the New Era of SM Supermalls, which envisions seamlessly connected and intuitively designed spaces for all, the access bridge is expected to improve pedestrian flow, enhance sustainable urban mobility, and encourage public transport use along the Marcos Highway corridor—elevating the mall experience for shoppers and commuters alike while delivering long-term benefits to the community.

SM SUPERMALLS AND MMDA LAUNCH SMART MOBILITY AND TRAFFIC INFORMATION SHARING PROJECT AT SM MEGAMALL

Navigating Metro Manila just got smarter. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and SM Supermalls officially launched the MMDA–SM Smart Mobility and Traffic Information Sharing Project at SM Megamall, marking a significant step toward making daily travel more informed, efficient, and commuter-friendly.
Anchored on the shared goal of enhancing commuter convenience, the project integrates real-time traffic updates from MMDA’s AI Traffic Management System into SM Supermalls’ Mall Digital Directories, giving mallgoers instant access to live road conditions while inside the mall.
To check traffic updates, mallgoers only need to follow these easy steps:

● Visit any of the three Mall Digital Directory located across SM Megamall
o Level 3, Mega B (near Chris Sports and Uniqlo)
o Level 3, Mega Fashion Hall (Near Sunnies Flask and Urban Revivo)
o Level 2, Mega B (near Jins and Uniqlo)
● Tap the MMDA Traffic Icon on the screen
● Instantly view live traffic video feeds and updates for major roads near the mall

With the tagline “PLAN AHEAD, TRAVEL SMART! Because every journey matters. Stay informed with real- time traffic updates at SM!” the initiative reinforces the role of malls not just as lifestyle destinations, but as practical hubs that help people make smarter decisions beyond shopping and dining.

TURNING MALL TIME INTO SMART TRAVEL TIME

Through the new system, mallgoers can simply tap the Traffic Information icon on selected Mall Digital Directories to view live traffic feeds from key Metro Manila roads. This allows visitors to better plan their routes, avoid congestion, and time their departures—turning waiting time into informed time.

The project reflects a seamless blend of public service and private sector innovation, transforming everyday mall touchpoints into tools that support smarter mobility and urban efficiency.
Strong Public–Private Collaboration

The launch was led by MMDA Chairman Atty. Romando “Don” Artes, alongside Ms. Mila Silvestre, Director of Public Information of MMDA. Representing SM Supermalls were senior leaders including Mr. Christian V. Mathay Senior Assistant Vice President, Regional Operations Head, Mr. Egbert T. Lim Group Head - Senior Assistant Vice President, Mr. Royston A. Cabunag - Department Head, Assistant Vice President, and Mr. Patrick Raymund G. Pacla, Division Head, Vice President Cyberzone & Sponsorship.

Both organizations emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing everyday urban challenges, with the project serving as a model for how technology and shared data can directly improve commuter experience.

MOVING FORWARD, ONE INFORMED TRIP AT A TIME

The MMDA–SM Smart Mobility and Traffic Information Sharing Project is part of SM Supermalls’ broader commitment to community-centered solutions—bringing convenience, connectivity, and real-world value closer to where people already are.

As the initiative rolls out and made available soon in other SM Malls such as SM North EDSA and SM Mall of Asia, it reinforces a simple but powerful idea: when people are informed, they move better—and when cities move better, everyone wins.

SM CARES TURNS MOVIE TICKETS INTO CLASSROOMS NATIONWIDE

SM Cares, the social responsibility arm of SM Supermalls, has launched “From Reel to Real Stories: HOPE in a Movie”, a nationwide campaign that transforms everyday movie experiences into meaningful support for public school classrooms.

The campaign kicked off on December 18 with a special screening at SM Cinema Mall of Asia, bringing together partners, advocates, and community leaders to champion a shared mission: addressing classroom shortages in public schools through collective action. The event also highlighted SM Cinema’s commitment to innovation with the introduction of SCREENX, a cutting-edge 270-degree panoramic format developed in partnership with CJ 4DPLEX, offering audiences a more immersive way to enjoy films.

“At SM Cares, we believe that empowering communities creates lasting impact,” said Steven T. Tan, President of SM Supermalls. “This campaign is built on a simple yet powerful idea: when people watch a movie at SM Cinema, they’re not just enjoying entertainment—they’re helping create real opportunities for Filipino students by turning movie moments into classrooms.”

Through a partnership among SM Supermalls, Generation HOPE, and the Department of Education (DepEd), a portion of every SM Cinema ticket purchased will go toward building 10 public school classrooms over the next three years. The initiative applies to all SM Cinema tickets—whether bought at ticket booths, kiosks, or online—and across all formats nationwide, making participation easy and accessible.

This effort builds on SM’s long-standing commitment to education. To date, SM Foundation has constructed 403 classrooms and donated 116 school buildings nationwide, alongside digital learning hubs equipped with computers, smart TVs, and essential software to strengthen digital literacy. SM has also created community learning spaces in its malls, such as the Book Nook—a free reading and storytelling hub designed to nurture a love for learning among families and children.

With HOPE in a Movie, Generation HOPE brings its experience in impact-driven classroom projects, while DepEd ensures that school sites and facilities meet educational standards and address priority needs.

“This partnership demonstrates the power of collaboration between the private sector, social enterprises, and government,” Tan said. “Together, we can create sustainable solutions that help students learn better and communities grow stronger.”

As the campaign moves into the new year, SM Cares invites moviegoers nationwide to join this meaningful movement by choosing SM Cinema—turning movie experiences into real stories of hope for Filipino students. Together, we can transform entertainment into empowerment, because every ticket purchased helps write a brighter, HOPE-filled future for the next generation.

SMDC BRINGS CHRISTMAS CHEER TO LOCAL COMMUNITIES THROUGH GOOD GUYS SANTA SQUAD

Holiday gift-giving often comes down to simple things kids remember: a game that made kids laugh, a prize they worked for, and a toy they get to bring home. This was the spirit behind the Good Guys Santa Squad, an SMDC initiative that brought Christmas to barangay communities surrounding Joy Residences, Park Residences, South 2 Residences and Hill Residences Rather than a one-day event, Santa Squad moved from community to community—meeting families where they were, and keeping the program easy to join, easy to enjoy, and focused on children.

Across four stops, the initiative reached over 600 children and their families, with toy gifts for children aged 5–10 and grocery packs shared with households for noche buena.

Each community stop welcomed 150 children and kept the program easy to enjoy—games led by volunteers, prizes throughout, and moments of magic that held the kids’ attention.

The experience stayed simple and inclusive, making sure every child had a chance to join in and go home with something to remember.

On the ground were the SMDC Nature Volunteers—the “Ate”s and “Kuya”s who stayed with the kids from start to finish. They joined the games, cheered loudly, guided the shy ones, and helped keep the day moving smoothly so no child felt left out. More than support staff, they were present as neighbors—showing how SMDC communities stay connected to the barangays around them through shared participation.

Beyond the gifts, the day was made up of small, memorable moments: children laughing with their teams, celebrating wins big and small, and leaning in during magic performances that brought the crowd together. It was a holiday gathering that felt natural for the barangay—light, warm, and focused on the kids.

The Good Guys Santa Squad began its route on December 15 in Barangay Pagala, Baliuag, Bulacan, home to Joy Residences.
It continued on December 16 in Barangay Tagapo, Sta. Rosa, Laguna, near Park Residences.

On December 18, the Squad visited Almanza Uno, Las Piñas, close to South 2 Residences.

The final stop was on December 19 in Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches, Quezon City, with the community surrounding Hill Residences.

Giving, Beyond the Season
Through initiatives like the Good Guys Santa Squad, SMDC continues to build relationships that extend beyond its developments—grounded in presence, participation, and everyday acts of care.

Because for SMDC, building communities also means showing up—especially during moments that matter most.

SECURITY BANK FOUNDATION AND JVRFI DELIVER NEW CLASSROOMS TO TARLAC NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

More than 10,000 students at Tarlac National High School (TNHS) will benefit from safer, more conducive learning spaces following the turnover of a newly constructed two‑storey, 10-classroom building by Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI), with one classroom sponsored by the Jesus V. Del Rosario Foundation, Inc. (JVRFI).

The turnover ceremony was led by SBFI Chairman Rafael Simpao, Jr. and JVRFI Executive Director Kana Manglapus, together with school officials, local partners, and members of the Security Bank community.

One of the oldest and largest public secondary schools in the country, TNHS has long grappled with overcrowding and limited classroom space. Despite these challenges, the school continues to produce high-performing students and runs inclusive education programs serving out-of-school youth, young mothers, working adults, and learners in correctional facilities under the leadership of Principal Yolanda Gonzales, recently recognized as the Best Principal of the Year at the 26th World School Summit in London.

"The outstanding performance of Tarlac National High School offers a ray of hope for a better Philippines,” said Rafael Simpao, Jr., SBFI Chairman. “Under the remarkable leadership of Principal Gonzales, we see how public schools—when given the right support—can stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s best and help shape a brighter future for our youth.”

The newly completed building is dedicated to THNS’ Special Program in Sports, providing student-athletes with a safe environment where they can pursue both academic and athletic excellence.

“This new facility shows what is possible when vision, care, and opportunity come together,” said Principal Gonzales. “With this support, even the biggest challenges can be transformed into success stories—for our students and for our community.”

Jane Canlas, Branch Manager at Security Bank Tarlac- Tañedo and a proud TNHS alumna, also expressed her appreciation for the project. “It is both an honor and a privilege to now represent Security Bank in giving back to my alma mater,” Canlas said. “This donation reflects our commitment to empowering communities through education, and it is deeply meaningful to see it benefit the school where my own foundation was built.”

To date, Security Bank Foundation has donated 887 classrooms to 151 schools across 91 cities and municipalities nationwide, helping create safer, more supportive learning environments for Filipino students.
