The Philippine National Police Women and Children Protection Center – Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division (WCPC–ATIPD), together with the Anti-Cybercrime Group, Mendez Municipal Police Station, Cavite Police Provincial Office, and local government social welfare personnel, successfully conducted an operation on April 29, 2026, resulting in the rescue of three minor victims and the arrest of two suspects identified as their parents in Cavite.

The operation was carried out through a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data in relation to Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC). Criminal complaints have been filed for violations of Republic Act No. 11930 or the Anti-OSAEC and Anti-CSAEM Act of 2022, in relation to Republic Act No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. The suspects are now under the custody of the WCPC Field Unit in Luzon, while the rescued children are currently receiving proper care, counseling, and psychosocial support under the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., emphasized the organization’s firm stance against all forms of abuse involving children, saying, “Ang bawat bata ay dapat protektado. The PNP will continue to act swiftly and decisively against those who exploit the vulnerable. The operation aligns with the PNP Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, in support of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., reinforcing strengthened coordination among law enforcement and partner agencies in addressing cyber-enabled crimes.

The PNP also reminds the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious online activities involving minors to authorities. Community vigilance and timely reporting remain vital in preventing similar incidents and protecting children from harm.
