Building upon the knowledge and momentum gained from the previous session, Ink of Champions: From Award-Winning Writers to Mentors continued its mission of honing aspiring campus journalists through its second training session.

Participants engaged in skill-building activities across various journalism categories, gaining valuable insights, practical techniques, and the confidence needed to craft compelling and well-written pieces.

To maximize learning opportunities, several mentors conducted face-to-face sessions with their participants. These included Layout and Page Design under Jeremiah Ampon, Feature Writing under Gracie Helnfredryx Villagracia, Editorial and Column Writing under Alexa Kyle Dollete, Sports Writing under Vellia Jean Torreon, and Editorial Cartooning under Kennu Andrei Cullamar.

Meanwhile, News Writing under Kingjefirstson Tanzo, Photojournalism under Kirsten Ashley Cariaso, Copy Editing and Headline Writing under Le Atasha Besande, and Scriptwriting and Radio Broadcasting under Cyrus Bacolod continued through online sessions, ensuring that learning remained accessible and uninterrupted.

New school year, same gates, different version of us. Some leveled up, some still figuring things out, some just here trying to fix their sleep schedule (good luck ).

Iโ€™m [Name] from [Grade Level and Strand], and this year? Hindi na lang basta โ€œsurvive.โ€ Weโ€™re done with that. This time, weโ€™re showing upโ€”kahit pagod, kahit kinakabahan, kahit hindi pa fully ready.

Days after the mentors were officially unveiled, the wait finally came to an end as the first training session of Ink of Champions: From Award-Winning Writers to Mentors came to life. Marking a strong start to its first season, the workshopโ€™s opening session brought together aspiring campus journalists, esteemed coaches and seasoned mentors in a shared pursuit of excellence in journalism.

Guiding the participants throughout the session were:
