BISLIG CITY โ€” Bislig City National High School (BCNHS) has secured approval to operate the Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) for School Year 2026โ€“2027.

The Department of Educationโ€“Caraga Region granted the approval through Regional Memorandum No. 0462, s. 2026, dated May 13, 2026.

The approval allows BCNHS to formally implement the specialized journalism program aimed at developing learners' skills in news, feature, editorial and sports writing, as well as other areas of campus journalism.

Through the SPJ, the school seeks to strengthen responsible journalism, critical thinking and effective communication among learners while preparing aspiring campus journalists for higher levels of competition and future media-related pursuits.

The program's implementation marks another milestone for BCNHS as it expands learning opportunities and strengthens journalism education in the school.
