📍Location: Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, Philippines

The Enchanted River is known for its crystal-clear, sapphire-blue waters — so clear that you can see all the way to the bottom, yet its true depth remains a mystery in some parts.

Local legends say the river is guarded by spirits, which is why no one is allowed to swim after 12 noon — a bell rings, signaling the end of swimming time.

Divers have discovered an underwater cave system, but much of it remains unexplored due to strong currents and unknown depths.

Rare Wildlife Encounter - Dugong Watching Experience in Coron, Palawan

Today, I joined a local-guided dugong watching tour and witnessed these gentle marine mammals gracefully swimming in the seagrass meadows.

DAMPULAN SEAWALL — COASTAL VIBES AT THE FOOT OF MT. MALINDIG!

📍 Barangay Dampulan, Torrijos, Marinduque

Kumusta, Wanderers! It’s your ever-curious lakwatsero, Alex The Wanderer, and today I found myself in a peaceful corner of Marinduque that honestly deserves more love — Dampulan Seawall, right here in Barangay Dampulan, Torrijos.

If you’ve been following my adventures, you’d know I have a soft spot for places where you can just sit, breathe in the sea breeze, and watch life go by. And guess what? This humble seawall gave me exactly that — plus the epic view of Mt. Malindig rising proudly in the background!

Why Should You Visit?
This isn’t your typical crowded tourist spot. In fact, it’s a serene stretch of seawall built to protect the barangay from high tide, but it doubles as the locals’ favorite hangout. Pure, unfiltered probinsya life.

Bonus Experience:
If you’re an adventure-seeker, Dampulan is one of the starting points for lesser-known trails up Mt. Malindig. It’s a moderate hike — around 8–12 hours round trip — but you’ll pass through lush coconut groves, open grasslands, and summit views that stretch all the way to Mindoro and Romblon on clear days.

Final Thoughts:
Dampulan Seawall may be simple, but it’s these kinds of places that remind us what real travel is about — not always the grand destinations, but the quiet corners where life flows at its own, beautiful pace.
