Have you ever been in a meeting where someone in a high position shares an idea that isn’t really that good—but people still clap, smile, and say it’s great?
Then later, someone from a lower position speaks up with a smart, creative idea. It's practical. It's brilliant. But what happens? Silence. Maybe a few nods. Maybe nothing at all.
Why is that?
We live in a world where many people respect the title more than the truth. Sometimes, it’s not about how good your idea is. It’s about who you are—or more sadly, where you are in the company ladder.
But good ideas don’t come only from the top. They come from experience, from fresh eyes, from people who observe, who care, who think.
Imagine how powerful a team could be if we praised ideas and not just positions. If we lifted each other up, no matter the role. If we made people feel heard, not ignored.
Let’s start changing that—by listening better, encouraging more, and clapping for the right reasons.
Respect should be earned not just by title, but by wisdom, effort, and heart.
