In todayโs Gospel, we are reminded that Jesus never promised a life free from suffering or difficulties. Many people think that being close to God means having no more problems because we are under His protection. But the reality is that trials and hardships are part of every human life. Jesus Himself experienced rejection, suffering, and persecution, and He told His disciples that if the world hated Him first, His followers might experience the same.
Yet being a follower of Christ also means that we never carry our burdens alone. In the midst of pain, struggles, and tribulations, we continue to have hope because Christ walks with us. Our faith does not guarantee an easy life, but it gives us strength, peace, and the assurance that God will sustain us through every challenge we face.
With Christ beside us, suffering is never the end of the story, because His love and presence give us the courage to persevere and remain faithful.
