Matod ni Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Senen Paulin, daghang classrooms ang dili na magamit base sa inisyal nga assessment sa mga school administrators nga gipresentar niya sa Kapitolyo niadtong Oktubre 14 atol sa meeting uban ni Gobernador Baricuatro. Giingon ni Paulin nga dako ang kinahanglanon nga pondo aron mapulihan ang mga nadaot nga classroom, busa iyang gisugyot nga magtukod og temporaryo nga mga tulun-an aron magpadayon ang klase.

Gidawat sa gobernador ang maong sugyot ug gipangayoan ang DepEd Cebu og kompletong datos aron masuta ang posibleng pagpatuman niini. Samtang padayon pa ang assessment, ang mga estudyanteng naapektuhan karon nagpadayon sa klase pinaagi sa Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) gamit ang modular o online learning. Giingon usab ni Paulin nga wala pa planong ipa-undang o i-adjust ang school calendar, ug makabawi gihapon sa nawalang klase pinaagi sa make-up sessions ug dugang oras sa pagtudlo.

Sigon sa travel advisory nga gipagawas ni Gobernadora Pamela Baricuatro niadtong Oktubre 2, 2025 nga nagpabiling epektibo hangtod karon, giingon nga samtang naapektuhan ang Dakbayan sa Bogo ug mga lungsod sa San Remigio, Medellin, Daanbantayan, Tabogon, Tabuelan, ug Sogod, luwas gihapon ang pagbyahe sa sentral ug habagatan nga bahin sa Sugbo.

Gipasabot sa Kapitolyo nga normal ang operasyon sa Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) sa Lapu-Lapu City ug sa mga pantalan sa Cebu, busa padayon ang biyahe sa mga pasahero ug turista. Gidani usab ang publiko nga mosalig lamang sa opisyal nga pahibalo gikan sa Cebu Provincial Government ug PHIVOLCS, ug mag-koordinar sa ilang travel agencies, transport providers, MCIA, o Cebu Port Authority para sa pinakabag-ong impormasyon. Gipahimangnoan sa PHIVOLCS nga ang dakong paglihok sa West Valley Fault posibleng mahitabo sulod sa mubo o taas nga panahon, apan walay angay ikahadlok, kondili angay nga mangandam ug magplano. Sumala ni Director Teresito Bacolcol, ang gitawag nga “Big One” — usa ka gibanabana nga Magnitude 7.2 nga linog nga makaapekto sa Metro Manila ug silingang probinsya — kabahin sa natural nga siklo sa fault ug dili usa ka hulagway nga mopakita nga hapit na kini mahitabo. Giingon usab niya nga ang Pilipinas karon “ripe” o naa na sa posibleng panahon sa sunod nga paglihok sa fault.

Matod pa ni Bacolcol, ang West Valley Fault kataposang mibuak niadtong tuig 1658, ug kasagaran kini makapahimo og linog matag 400 hangtod 600 ka tuig. Kon isumpay ang 400 ka tuig, posibleng 2058 ang sunod nga kadtongan sa maong siklo. Apan iyang gipasabot nga dili kini eksaktong prediksyon, kay posibleng mas sayo o mas ulahi pa kini mahitabo. Gipadayon sa mga ahensya sa gobyerno ang panawagan sa publiko nga mag-andam sa emergency kits, mag-ila sa evacuation routes, ug magpabakod sa mga istruktura aron maprotektahan ang kaugalingon bisan kanus-a man moabot ang dakong linog.
