IN PHOTOS: Luciente II National High School celebrated Global Handwashing Day with the theme: “Malinis na Kamay, Tulay sa Malusog at Matatag na Kinabukasan”.

Together with our School Principal, Ma’am Noemi C. Camero, all the learners and teachers washed their hands properly to promote health and hygiene as an effective way to prevent everyone from infections and diseases. This kind of activity certainly reinforces the significance of handwashing not only in school but also in the community.

The activity was led by the school’s WINS Coordinator, Ma’am Dayanara C. Caasi, with the help of the School’s Official Publication: Lucientean Voice.

October 12, 2023 - Luciente II National High School had its Induction and Oath Taking Ceremony together with the School Governance Council (SGC), Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and other various organizations such as Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG), Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O), Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), and Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Filipino (SaMFil).

October 12, 2023 - Luciente II National High School had its Induction and Oath Taking Ceremony together with the School Governance Council (SGC), Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and other various organizations such as Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG), Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O), Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), and Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Filipino (SaMFil).

The ceremony started with the preliminaries and proceeded with the Welcome Remarks given by the School Principal and Chairman of SGC, Noemi C. Camero, followed by the Oath-taking led by Brgy. Kagawad In-charge of Education, Charlie C. Feria.

Present associations and organizations had solemnly sworn that they would faithfully discharge, to the best of their abilities, the duties and responsibilities of their present positions which they understood and abided by the guidelines governing their respective organizations.

It ended with the Closing Remarks by Head Teacher III and Co-Chairman of SGC, Amerlipen C. Amistad.

The Republic Act 7079, also known as the Campus Journalism Act of 1991, provides that “freedom of the press must be promoted even at the school level for the development and growth of campus journalism as a means of strengthening ethical values, encouraging critical and creative thinking, and developing moral character and personal discipline of the Filipino youth.” In addition, this aims to improve “the journalistic skills of students concerned” and promote “responsible and free journalism.”

Today, Luciente II National High School's Official Publication: Lucientean Voice presents its publication staff guided and handled by the School Paper Adviser, Mr. Lennard P. Genove.
