BADMINTON UPDATE | Carmundo Edges Out EMC's Remo and Bohol

Sherraine D. Remo and Mickaela Jane C. Bohol, EMC Badminton Doubles representative for this year's District Meet, came up short in their battle for gold against Carmundo National High School at MINSU Gymnasium, October 3.

EMC Girls had already struggled to find their footing at the first half of the game, trailing five points behind Carmundo's record of 18. Yet this initial disadvantage only ignite their spirit to bounce back, gaining the upperhand towards claiming the spot for Unit Meet.

Unfortunately, the Remo-Bohol duo made crucial mistakes at the end due to the tensed atmposhere of the championsionship game. After a series of shuttlecocks flying back and forth on both courts, Carmundo's final smash landed harshly on EMC's side, marking their loss against Carmundo, 35-27.

Despite this loss, Remo and Bohol landed on second place. This level of talent and passion of these girls at this early stage would bring them not just this close to victory, but right exactly at Unit Meet Badminton Court next year.
