Peace and Order is not just a duty — it is the bread and butter of a successful country.
I have been part of this in the past — para sa inang bayan — engaged in missions that involved moving around with documents, a laptop, and long fi****ms, traveling to far-flung and mountainous areas, to different municipalities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, and even to the major cities of our country. I spread words for the motherland, and there were times when skirmishes and gunshots rang in my ears, making me almost deaf. For almost a month of daily flights, even when lying in bed, I could still hear the sound of the helicopter’s engine echoing in my mind.
I am humbled and proud to once again be part of this activity — for the motherland — and to share my thoughts with the new generation. Always remember that you are the pag-asa ng bayan. Keep your patriotic spirit alive and hold in your heart that we are Filipinos, and no one else will love our country more than we do. Let us remain united for nation-building, and stay away from extremism and illegal drugs.
Thank you to everyone involved in organizing this event and to all who shared their insights about our stand for Peace and Order — JCI Burauen, DILG/MLGO, LGU Burauen, LTC Sayson PA, PMAJ Layog PNP, My colleague in the Sangguniang Bayan, the PNP and AFP, NTF-ELCAC, the Municipal Peace and Order Council, students, teachers, and everyone who took part in this peace advocacy.
Let us always remember — tayo lang ang magmamahal sa ating bayan, tayo at tayo lang. Huwag nating hayaang maging huli ang lahat bago tayo magsisi.
