The TVET Provincial Administrators Forum, held on July 11 at the Golden Tara Hallโ€” Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center, brought together industry leaders, school heads, and TESDA officials for a collaborative dialogue on the future of technical-vocational education and training (TVET).

The day began on an energetic note with vibrant performances from ACLCโ€™s Sidlak Voices and Dance Versatyl. Engr. Alan L. Atega, MBA, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the growing influence of artificial intelligence and digital technologies on how people work, learn, and live. Key presentations were led by Mr. Giovanni C. Mamogay, Provincial Director Rey M. Cueva, and Mr. Harvey P. Tabilo. They tackled vital topics such as TESDAโ€™s Industry 4.0 initiatives, the Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System (UTPRAS), compliance auditing, and the emerging value of micro-credentials in accelerating skills development. Following a hearty lunch, participants were treated to a lively Zumba session led by Ms. Alex Jean De Leon, providing a fun and refreshing break. The afternoon sessions delved deeper into enterprise-based training, scholarship programs, skills competitions, and the integration of AI trends into TESDAโ€™s strategic plans.

ATSBAN Vice President Ms. Elizabeth M. Martinez closed the event with a message of gratitude, acknowledging the contributions of all participants and stakeholders in making the forum a success. The day concluded with a group photo and an open forum, paving the way for stronger collaboration and a more future-ready TVET system.

Jerryan Layson Azura led the ACLC College of Butuan Class of 2025. A graduate in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Marketing Management, his valedictory speech highlighted the phrase, "๐˜“๐˜ช๐˜ฃ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜จ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ฑ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฃ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜จ๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜จ๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ข๐˜บ". He emphasized that success requires effort, sleepless nights, sacrifice, and faithโ€”all of which he experienced and considers worthwhile. Azura, a student assistant, successfully balanced his studies and work, demonstrating the importance of managing responsibilities and the rewards of diligent effort.

He expressed gratitude to his family, friends, and loved ones, acknowledging the support that enabled his success despite financial challenges. He reaffirmed his commitment to striving for excellence, even in the face of obstacles. Jerryan is a TES grantee and recipient of the UNIFAST Academic Excellence Award.

The ACLC College of Butuan held a solemn baccalaureate mass for its graduating students at the Sto. Niรฑo Libertad Shrine, marking a meaningful spiritual send-off ahead of their commencement rites.

The ceremony began with a warm greeting from the presiding priest, setting a reverent tone for the celebration. During the mass, selected students from the Business and Information Technology departments were invited to the altar to lead the congregation in a special prayer, reflecting on gratitude and hope for the future.

As part of the offering rites, graduating students stood and walked to the altar to present symbolic gifts, representing their journey and achievements throughout their academic years.

The mass concluded with the Holy Communion, where attendees received the Body of Christ, embracing the spiritual significance of the occasion. The baccalaureate mass served not only as a religious tradition but also as a moment of reflection, unity, and blessing for the graduates as they prepare to step into the next chapter of their lives.

We stayed up late just to finish requirements, cried quietly when things got too hard, and still showed up even when we were tired and drained.

But maybe finishing school itself is already a big achievement.

Thereโ€™s strength in showing up when you feel like giving up. In trying again even when you feel like you're behind everyone else. Thatโ€™s something to be proud of.

People always say, โ€œ๐˜‹๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏโ€™๐˜ต ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ง ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ด,โ€ but letโ€™s be honestโ€”during graduation, itโ€™s hard not to. When others get called on stage and the spotlight is on them, we canโ€™t help but ask ourselves:
Did I do enough?
Am I enough?

Some of us were always the โ€œalmostโ€ students.
Almost got high grades.
Almost noticed.
Almost made it to the top.
Almost laude.

We worked hard. We gave our best. But sometimes, it still wasnโ€™t enough to get recognizedโ€”and thatโ€™s painful.

But we should never forget the battles we won silently:
The times we pushed through anxiety just to attend class.
The nights we studied even when we were already so tired.
The moments we wanted to quit, but chose to stay.

Thatโ€™s something real. Thatโ€™s something strong.

The system may not reward everyone equally, and yes, that sucks. But it doesnโ€™t erase our effort. It doesnโ€™t erase our journey. We kept going even when it felt like everything was against us.

And now, here we are.
We finished.
We got a degree.
We made it.

No medals? No problem. We earned something else like resilience, determination, and strength. They canโ€™t always be seen, but theyโ€™re deeply felt.

So if youโ€™re walking the stage without awards or honors, be proud. You still did something amazing. You finished the raceโ€”and thatโ€™s more than enough.

And to those who did receive medals or Latin honors, weโ€™re truly happy for you. You deserve it. You worked hard, and your effort paid off. Every achievementโ€”big or smallโ€”is worth celebrating.

We all made it. And thatโ€™s what matters most.

ACLC College of Butuan fourth-year students took a significant step toward their future during the Career Guidance Seminar 2025 held on June 18, 2025, at the ACB Computer Laboratory. The seminar carried the theme: โ€œBuilding Bridges: Empowering Career Choices Through School, Home, and Community.โ€

Guest speaker Mr. Pedrito Y. Famorcan III, CHRA, CFMP, SO2, shared his knowledge and experience in the fields of human resources and professional development. With engaging discussions and interactive activities, Mr. Famorcan guided students through the process of career decision-making, self-awareness, and personal value alignment.

Many students reflected that the session gave them a renewed sense of direction and made the complex process of planning their careers feel less overwhelming. The event proved to be more than just a talkโ€”it became a platform for students to explore their ambitions and take confident steps toward their professional futures.

Today, we celebrate and honor the men who have shaped our lives in ways both seen and unseen. Being a father isn't just about providingโ€”it's about showing up, standing strong in moments of uncertainty, and offering love even when it's hard to express.

To all the dads, lolos, titos, kuyas, and every father figure who has stepped up with strength and graceโ€”thank you. Whether by blood or by choice, your role in our lives is nothing short of extraordinary.

You may not wear a cape, but youโ€™ve always been our heroes. From the way you silently work behind the scenes, to the way you make us laugh with your corny jokes, or offer a comforting hug after a long dayโ€”these little things leave lasting marks on our hearts.

Thank you for the sacrifices we may never fully understand, for the lessons youโ€™ve taught us through your example, and for being the steady presence we can always count on. You show us what it means to lead with love, to persevere with courage, and to support without condition.

Today is for you. You are the foundation of our homes, the strength of our communities, and the quiet force behind many of our successes.

Mabuhay kayo, mga Haligi ng Tahanan at sa Lipunan! We see you. We appreciate you. And we love you alwaysโ€”more than words can say.

Happy Fatherโ€™s Day! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™

On the twelfth of June in eighteen ninety-eight, our ancestors declared what hearts could not wait. Freedom's flag unfurled beneath tropical skies, as the sun and stars bore witness to our cries.

From Luzon's mountains to Mindanao's shore, three hundred years of chains we'd bear no more. The revolutionary spirit burned so brightโ€”Rizal's pen and Bonifacio's flame igniting the fight.

Red for the blood of heroes who fell, blue for the peace we'd guard so well. White for the hope that would never die, golden sun and stars reaching for the sky.

Through Spanish rule and American reign, through war and struggle, through joy and pain, the dream of freedom never ceased to grow in every Filipino heart, high and low.

Now children play where battles once were fought, and freedom's song is what their fathers taught. From Baguio's pines to Palawan's seas, we stand as one, proud and free.

Mabuhay! Let the celebration ring, for independence is the song we sing. June twelfth reminds us of the price we paid for this beautiful freedom that will never fade.

In every jeepney horn and market call, in every festival, in churches tall, the spirit of kalayaan lives onโ€”our independence, forever strong.
