April 30, 2025 โ After a two-year hiatus, the League of Campus Organizations (LCO) made its much-awaited return with LCO Nights 2025, held at the FSUU Gymnasium. With the theme โVictors of the Future: Shaping Leaders, Building Legacies,โ the event brought together the Urian student community for a night filled with talent, unity, and celebration.
Mr. Karl Adams Soria opened the event with heartfelt remarks, emphasizing how community is felt even in small numbers. He praised the energetic participation of Urian students throughout the LCO Days, showing how resilient the student body has remained over the years.
The night officially kicked off with an electrifying intermission number by the FSUU Dance Company. Their powerful performance set the tone for the rest of the night, earning cheers and applause from the crowd who swooned over the dancers captivating movements.
The competition segment began with a battle of vocal talents. Judging the event were Mr. Trazzy Jezryl L. Plaza, a local artist in Butuan; Ms. Karylle C. Remulta, a two-time Vocal Duet Champion at the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), and Mr. Fredrick Yu, SFC Regional Conference 2018 Singing Contest Champion. Both vocal categories were won by District 4 (Fishing), whose strong performances and stage presence impressed both judges and audience alike.
This was followed by the highly anticipated Street Dance Competition, which energized the entire gym with students showing high-level choreography, energy, and flair. The panel of judges included Mr. Nash Antiquina, a dancer, singer, theater actor and official choreographer Miss Universe PhilippinesโCagayan de Oro 2024; Ms. Cherylain Simbajon, a SVNHS Higaka Dancer and Environmental Management Specialist, and Mr. Zhaye John Acedillo, four-time School-Based Streetdance Competition Champion. Once again, District 4 (Fishing) brought home the win with a show-stopping performance that brought the house down.
Throughout the program, certificates and awards were given to the students who participated throughout the LCO Days, which included literary events, e-sports and sports. Recognizing their hardworking and perseverance amidst the busy school schedule.
To cap off a night full of celebration and school spirit, the four clustersโDistrict 1 (Luxury), District 2 (Masonry), District 3 (Technology), and District 4 (Fishing), stood tall after giving their best in every challenge. In the end, it was District 1 (Luxury) who rose above the rest and was crowned the overall champion of the 2025 LCO Culminating Night.
