It’s been a minute so I thought I’d reintroduce myself to my 565 followers (or anyone else stumbling upon this post!) 😊
I'm Jane, a 33-year-old single mum from the 🇵🇭navigating the world with my energetic 7-year-old.
I come from a conservative, religious background with both my parents being Pastors.
I kicked off my virtual assistant journey in 2011 right after college, tackling Upwork gigs that paid literally $2 for a 1000-word article. It wasn’t much but it was better than nothing honestly - if you’ve experienced being jobless you know how it goes!🤷
Being a VA was initially a side hustle until I got married and life took me to California.
After 2 years in the US, I went back to the Philippines and got separated in 2018. This was probably the darkest moment in my life..I had to dig deep and find the courage to keep going with my life.
I decided to become a full-time VA to support myself and my bub. I was scared AF and didn’t know what the future holds!
But I felt guided by faith and seeing opportunities unfold naturally, that's when I knew I was on the right path.
Fast forward, and now I run my own small VA agency, collaborating with six amazing team members – some are fellow mums and students. Helping them find opportunities brings me so much joy because I’ve been on the same journey before.
Eight-plus years in this business, I've faced ups and downs, rejections and victories, tears and laughter. Every single moment prepared me and moulded me into who I am today.
Grateful for the people who trusted me with their babies - aka businesses. My heart is full. I feel content, loved, safe, at peace, and free.
I didn't emerge from the depths of despair, trauma, and pain just to throw in the towel!
I'm geared up for moments of magic and success!
If you're currently facing tough times, I hope my story sticks with you and gives you the push to keep moving forward, no matter what 🙌
If you see this, drop a 💗 emoji in the comments, so I know you're here!
Thanks a bunch! I’m so happy we crossed paths and I look forward to seeing you succeed too - and cheer you on from a distance (or on Facebook & Insta) 😉😉😉
Lots of love x Jane
