So touches my heart the story of the dog Aspen I love you cutie
ENTERTAINMENT: Actress Carla Abellana extends a helping hand to an “aspin,” which she named “Puppy,” that was run over along the North Luzon Expressway.
Carla shares on Tuesday, October 29, a photo of the dog she rescued and his situation after the incident.
“The crying of the aspin broke my heart. I had to beg Kuya B**g (my Driver) to stop right away. I couldn't just leave him/her there- alive or not,” she writes on Instagram.
She says the dog was skin and bones, appeared to be very young, and was a bit cold to the touch, but was still blinking when they found him, so they immediately brought the injured animal to the nearest veterinary hospital.
“His blinking was slowing down and he still wasn't moving at all. I just kept rubbing his head and ears, assuring him that if he keeps fighting he'll be eating so much chicken, rice and even steak with us. I also told him he was such a brave boy because he managed to drag himself off the road,” she adds.
Carla then shares that after being checked by the veterinarian, the dog’s x-ray results showed no fracture, no broken bones, and no internal damage to any of his organs. “What a miracle indeed.”
She ends her post with a reminder to motorists.
“Everyone, please please break for animals on the road. I am begging you. And if you could save a life, please do,” says Carla.
