From blank pages to powerful stories, from quiet ideas to voices that sparked meaning—your Jᴏᴜʀɴᴇʏ has been nothing short of inspiring. Every word written and every piece crafted carries a part of who you are, leaving behind stories that will continue to echo long after you’ve turned the page.

To our beloved The Narra Seniors, we thank you. Thank you for the late nights, the unseen sacrifices, and the ᴜɴᴡᴀᴠᴇʀɪɴɢ ᴘᴀꜱꜱɪᴏɴ you poured into this publication. The Narra stands as a testament to your countless hours of effort and commitment.

As you step into a new chapter, know that a piece of you will always remain here—on every page. Your words may find new homes, but your impact will be ꜰᴏʀᴇᴠᴇʀ ʀᴏᴏᴛᴇᴅ in The Narra. 🍃

The Campus Journalism Workshop, “𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞: 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮,” aims to develop and strengthen the skills of aspiring campus journalists while deepening their understanding of responsible and ethical journalism.

More than just a name beneath a headline, the workshop highlights the true heart of journalism—the discipline, integrity, and responsibility behind every story.

This event is organized through the first-ever collaboration between the English and Filipino publications of Agusan National High School.

Join us this March 12–13 at the ANHS Covered Court as we strengthen our craft and go beyond the byline.

In line with the National Disaster Resilience Month, Department of Education, Butuan City Division spearheaded the division-wide event KUMIKILOS (Kayang Umaksyon ng Mamamayan na Isabuhay ang Kahandaan ng bawat Isa para maging Ligtas sa Oras ng Sakuna), to strengthen disaster readiness among students, venued at Agusan National High School, July 30.

Students from various districts showcased their creativity and awareness through poster making, painting, brochure making, and jingle performances centered on the theme “Kumikilos para sa Kahandaan, Kaligtasan, at Katatgan.

Division Disaster Risk Reduction focal person, Emelio B. Makiling emphasized that the event’s primary goal was to prepare learners for real-life emergencies.

“This activity equips students with the right knowledge and presence of mind during calamities,” Makiling said. “In emergencies, they will know exactly how to respond, how to protect themselves, and how to act quickly, as the theme of KUMIKILOS reminds us, we must move and be aware of what needs to be done.”

Moreover, the focal person highlighted the importance of proactive learning in disaster readiness.

“We want to inspire every learner to take the right actions before, during, and after a disaster,” he said. “Preparedness begins with awareness, and awareness leads to saving lives.”

The event was made possible through the collaboration of multiple agencies, including the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Through engaging and creative competitions, Project KUMIKILOS empowered students to stay informed, proactive, and resilient in the face of emergencies.
