𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | As part of the 4th Founding Anniversary of RBASASHS, teachers from STEM-ABM Strand prepared traditional games also known as "LARO NG LAHI", participated by students from different strands.

The joy, fun and excitement that have been displayed in the faces of the learners are truly priceless.The rich culture of Filipinos through these traditional games made this event even more remarkable.

Eight student-journalists of Rodolfo B. Albano Stand Alone Senior High School (RBASASHS) are set to compete in the 2025 Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) Finals in Echague, Isabela on February 28-March 2.

This remarkable feat is a 𝐑ecord-𝐁reaking 𝐀chievement for RBASASHS as it secured a spot in the roster of secondary schools with the highest number of qualifiers in the entire Division of Isabela.

𝐑𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐒 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 3𝐫𝐝 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 2025 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

After earning five awards,Rodolfo B. Albano Stand Alone Senior High School (RBASASHS) was proclaimed as the overall 2nd runner up in the 2025 Street Dance Competition at the Josefina T. Albano Sports and Cultural Complex on January 24.

The team was adjudged as second runner up in the street dance category and second runner up in the dance showdown.

It also received an award for being the Best in Synchronization.

The team's king and queen, in the persons of Jhade Kerby Tagalog and Mary Ann Dumapal, were also hailed as the 2025 Festival King and Queen.

The school's dedication paid off, bringing home a total of ₱105,000 cash prize: ₱45,000 for Street Dance, ₱45,000 for Showdown, ₱10,000 for the King and Queen titles, and ₱5,000 for the Most Synchronous award.

Choreographers Kimberly Vinasoy and Derick Floyd Sumido expressed their joy on the results, already setting their sights on a championship win next year.

“Our preparation was far from easy. We started during Christmas break, when everyone else was on vacation, our team was already training. They endured pain under the sun, lacking a proper training ground, and some even went hungry, saving money for their costumes. The relentless training led to exhaustion. But despite these obstacles, everyone remained dedicated, striving for excellence,” said Vinasoy as she highlighted the team's arduous journey.

She emphasized that their rigorous training regimen was crucial to boosting the dancers' confidence and revealed their full potential.

“Together with Ma’am Rick Sumido, we trained them day and night. The training was demanding, but it helped them unlock their talents and shine. Even when we were sick and exhausted, we persevered, driven by our shared goal," she added.

School principal Judy B. Tarun congratulated the whole team and expressed her gratitude to the RBASASHS family for its support.

"Grabe ang support na ipinakita ni'yo. Full force talaga. Mabbalo tu aru RBA fam," Tarun said.

Viva, La Irraya! Viva, Pansi Festival!

The long wait was over. The majestic colors of costumes lit up the streets as Cabageños gathered to celebrate. They witnessed various cultures come alive and danced to the beat in the Pansi Festival Streetdance Competition and Showdown at Josefina T. Albano Sports and Cultural Complex.

The streets were filled with dancers dressed vividly as they swayed to the rhythm of the music. Using their dance moves, they relayed the message of the streetdance festival, captivating the audience with their bright and warm smiles while highlighting the importance of the Pansi Festival in the culture of Cabagueños.

Wearing brightly painted costumes and props, the dancers performed unbothered under the scorching rays of the sun, setting the streets on fire. As sweat dripped from their bodies, their efforts were rewarded with sweet victories.

The event brought together schools across Cabagan district, including Alfreda Albano National High School (AANHS Magassi) Alfreda Albano National High School - Annex (Masipi), Cabagan Riverside National High School (CRNHS), Cubag Integrated School (CIS), Delfin Albano High School (DAHS), Saint Ferdinand College (SFC), and Rodolfo B. Albano Stand-Alone Senior High School (RBASASHS).

The street dance competition and showdown mark a significant contribution in our culture and traditions as Cabagueños. Another year to commemorate the traditions left by our Irraya ancestors in making our Pansi Cabagan. Together we witnessed the street dancers and Cabagueños jump in joy!
