Pi summary
Q1: What is this app or program?
A: This project is for creating a new cryptocurrency named Pi Network. Work began on 3/14/2019 by two professors Nicholas Kokkalis and Chengdiao Fan from Standford University in the USA.
Q2: Is this program honest and sincere?
A: Yes, 100%
Thousands of dollars are spent monthly by the owners of the project with the aim of its success and benefits to its owners and pioneers.
Q3: How many pioneers so far?
A: More than 23 million as of August 2021 which means one million new subscribers every 2 weeks.
Q4: How do I benefit from this program and what is required of me to do it?
A: Run the mining session/cycle every 24 hours by pressing the green lighting on the main screen, and thus the counter continues to work. If the counter is not working, it means the mining session has stopped and the balance does not increase.
Q5: Am I required to do anything else?
A: Yes
- Activate security circle
- Verify your account by Facebook or phone or both. Phone verification requires international calls capability and credit to send international SMS unless the pioneer resides or has a mobile number from one of the approved five countries available for phone verification.
- Verify your identity (Know Your Customer = KYC) when invited - no real pioneer will be left behind. New ways for KYC are in the cooking pot.
- Install Pi browser on the mobile and activate you Pi Wallet
- If a PC or Mac is available, download Pi Node, but not necessarily.
Q6: How do I do these steps?
A: Please visit the Mods FAQ for more details.
Q7: Where can I find my Pi units or balance?
A: The counter at the top of the main interface of the app includes your pi balance you mined.
Q8: When can I sell my Pi units?
A: The CT announced that the mainnet will be available by December 2021.

Q9: What is Pi value?
A: Pi value will be determined when the trading starts at the end of 2021.
For cryptocurrency, prices change very quickly, sometimes every second.
Q10: What are the types of verifications?
A: Account verification by Facebook or phone number or both
- account verification can be done by going to your profile and selecting phone verification or face verification
- KYC - currently by invites which are randomly distributed. If you get an invite for KYC, passports in most countries are accepted along with creating Yoti. For more details for your country pls visit Yoti.com
- if you don’t have a passport, the core team is working on other methods for KYC and they will be announced when they become available.
Q11: I signed up with Pi a while ago and I haven’t received KYC for invitation.
A: as mentioned above KYC are done by invitations which are randomly distributed.
- no real pioneer will be left behind.
Q12: I do not have a passport or my passport is an expired. What to do?
A: Don't worry, there will be other solutions in the near future.
Q13: What is Pi node?
A: Node is the basic infrastructure of the program, whereby all the subscribers to Pi node can exchange electronic information for the program and test it.
Pi node application needs to be installed on the computer and requires port opening, and there is a permanent Internet.
Q14: Do I have to download and install Pi node?
A: no - it is optional as it requires a PC with Windows or MacBook
Q15: What is a wallet?
A: The wallet is an account for each pioneer in order to be able to transfer and receive a number of Pi coins.
Pi wallets are non-custodial which means nobody other than the pioneer has access to the wallet. If the pioneer looses the key for the wallet they will not be able to recover it.
Your Wallet passphrase can’t be changed or recovered.
Currently however the wallet is in testing phase. In this phase you can reset your wallet and get a new passphrase and wallet key.
Pi coins in your testing wallet are for testing purposes and are not part of your balance.
Your Pi coins will be automatically transferred or migrated to your wallet after the mainnet starts and after verifying your identity by doing your KYC.
Q16: How can I get my wallet?
A: Testing Pi Wallet started on 31 March 2021 for pioneers.
Initially through Pi Node and subsequently it was made available for all pi on mobiles.
To get your wallet, click on the Ξ to go to the Menu
Click Pi Browser to download it from your mobile store
After downloading the pi browser open it. It will give few options including pi wallet. Click pi Walt and follow it through
Q17: When I get my wallet, can I sell my Pi coins or balance or credit?
A: No, the current pi in the wallet is for testing purposes. You can transfer and receive some testing pi.
Your pi balance will migrate to your wallet when mainnet starts at the end of this year.
Q18: Is my current balance final?
A: No, your final balance will be determined upon entering the third and final stage (Mainnet). Your final balance will depend on the members of your team who continued with Pi and were able to verify their identity/KYC.
Note: Any units that you gained because of a pioneer who does not complete the KYC will be lost/burned.
