✈️ Scare in the Sky: EVA Air Flight to Manila Returns to Taiwan After Mid-Air Emergency
An EVA Air flight headed to Manila made an emergency return to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on Thursday morning after a sudden loss of cabin pressure, according to local reports.
🚨 Passengers on Flight BR271 were jolted into panic when oxygen masks dropped from the ceiling shortly after takeoff at 9:24 a.m. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300ER, circled back and safely landed at 10:42 a.m.
✅ Thankfully, no injuries were reported. EVA Air quickly activated emergency protocols, ensuring passenger safety and rebooking everyone on a replacement aircraft. Travelers were also given meal vouchers as a courtesy while they waited.
📋 Taiwan’s Civil Aeronautics Administration is reviewing the incident, while the Taiwan Transportation Safety Board has dispatched investigative teams to determine if a full probe is needed.
👏 Hats off to the flight crew for acting swiftly and keeping everyone safe.
