𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡| 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼-𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀

The Collumino launched its last day of the qualifying round for both individual and group categories today, July 30, at the school gymnasium.

Today’s tryout highlights the audition for the school’s Radio Broadcasting team in both language media - Filipino and English.

The audition for the said group category is being judged by the ex-Associate Editor of The Collumino batch 2023, Cyrus Hero Jacinto, and the batch ‘24 Editor-in-Chief, Neil Yestin Jardiel.

Moreover, the elimination round provides the last opportunity for learners to show their journalism skills and to join the student publication.

Schedule for tomorrow's Qualifying Examination, July 30, 2025, 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm

*All Individual Categories will be having their second batch of qualifying examination for new applicants.
*For Radio Broadcasting, please ensure that you already have your groups with seven members, and a printed copy of your script with the contents: 1 foreign news, 1 local news, informercial about Nutrition Month, and 1 sports news, that will be performed tomorrow within a span of 5 minutes. (For technical direction, please bring your own laptops)
*For Layout applicants, please bring your own gadgets with a pre-downloaded editing software. (For Collaborative Desktop Publishing, preferably, Adobe InDesign; for Online Publishing, preferably, Wix)
*For Graphics applicants, please bring your own gadgets also with a pre-downloaded graphic software.

As we celebrate the 6th anniversary of the National Campus Press Freedom Day, let us acknowledge the dedicated campus journalists who relentlessly chase narratives to enlighten the unspoken truth.

May this day be a reminder of the voices that persist, even in silence; the brave hearts whose weapon is a bleeding pen; and the bylines behind articles that shed light amid injustices looming over the society.

Let us stand tall, ignite our passion for the pursuit of truth, and use our inks to defend campus press freedom—the very foundation that allows us to speak, write, and argue with dissent.

𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 5: 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 2025-2026 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀

Beyond the mighty torch-like pen, writing to enlighten the unspoken truth, are the select individuals who dedicatedly pursue their passion for campus journalism.

Serving with the student publication is a task full of opportunities, yet filled with responsibilities—driving the ride for truth and justice, and leading with exceptional skills to representing as voices for the unheard.

This Academic Year 2025-2026, The Collumino welcomes its new staffers, and opens the application process for the selection of its new leaders, who will be committed unitedly in bearing the torch of fair and trustworthy campus journalism.

𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 | ReCET 2025: Ctrl + Alt + ReCET – Rebooting Your College Journey

The University of the Philippines Novo Ecijanos (UPNE) proudly announces ReCET 2025: “Ctrl + Alt + ReCET – Rebooting Your College Journey,” an enhanced review for college entrance tests, which encourages students to reset their focus, refresh their approach, and reboot their dreams towards higher education.

ReCET: 2025 is scheduled on July 26 to 27 at Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology - General Tinio Campus (Cabanatuan City). The said program aims to prepare high school students across Nueva Ecija for their college entrance examinations, such as UPCAT (UP), ACET (Ateneo), DCAT (DLSU), and other admission tests. Furthermore, the program will also provide guidance on major scholarship opportunities offered by DOST-SEI and CHED.

Participants are required to pay a registration fee of ₱250, which includes participant kit and reviewer. The two-day program will also include comprehensive review sessions, mock entrance examinations, career and scholarship orientations, and mentorship from UP professors, volunteers, and alumni.

𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

In accordance with the Executive Order No. 15, series of 2025, released from the Provincial Government of Nueva Ecija, the scheduled qualifying examination for all individual and group categories is hereby postponed due to the suspension of classes tomorrow, July 18.

The new schedule of the qualifying examination will be announced until further notice. For the meantime, the online application of Form 1 will be continued.

With 51 applicants across different individual categories, The Collumino has started its qualifying round at the school's gymnasium today, July 16.

This round is conducted to prepare for this year's editorial board and journalism competitions.

Meanwhile, the qualifying phase for the group categories will be conducted on Friday, July 18.
