Working from home is one of the biggest blessings I’ve ever received.

No more waking up extra early para lang makipagsabayan sa busy road at rush hours. Walang commute. Walang stress sa daan. Just me, my PC and laptop, and a quiet corner where I get to work and provide for my family.

At first, it felt like a dream.

Pero habang tumatagal, may side pala siya na hindi masyadong napag-uusapan.

May mga araw na sobrang tahimik. Yung buong shift, screen lang ang kaharap mo. Walang kasabay mag-coffee. Walang lunch buddy. Walang biglaang chikahan o tawanan na nakakapagpagaan ng araw.

Minsan, hindi mo namamalayan… nami-miss mo na pala ang simpleng human interaction.

Nakaka-miss din pala ang magtrabaho on site, hindi dahil sa trabaho, kundi dahil sa mga tao.

But even on those quiet and lonely days, I remind myself of what this setup has given me.

More time with my family. More comfort. Less stress from commuting. The chance to earn from home and witness moments I would’ve probably missed if I were away.

I guess every blessing comes with a sacrifice.

And maybe that’s okay.

Because not all blessings are loud. Some come in the form of peace, quiet mornings, and the privilege of being home.

So if you’re also working from home and feeling a little lonely sometimes, know that you’re not alone.

Here’s to choosing gratitude, even on the quietest days. 🤍✨
