(October 13, 2025 | โFund Resilience, Not Disastersโ)
Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP) joins the nation in observing the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction 2025, recognizing the importance of strengthening preparedness and resilience in light of the recent series of destructive typhoons and earthquakes that struck the country.
Aligned with this yearโs theme, โFund Resilience, Not Disasters,โ WUP joins DOST-PAGASA in emphasizing the need to invest in early warning systems, modern technologies, and climate-resilient initiatives to strengthen disaster preparedness, protect communities, and build the countryโs ability to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
As the Philippines continues to face intensifying climate-driven hazards, WUP stands in solidarity with efforts that promote disaster risk reduction, resilience-building, and community preparedness. Handa ngayon, ligtas bukas!
