𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘆! 🛣️

Where are the “key” places to life and our country’s natural heritage? And how can we work together to protect them?

As part of the 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 (𝗞𝗕𝗔) 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, we are bringing KBA conversations closer to communities through a roadshow across selected sites in the country.

From 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, the roadshow aims to strengthen local knowledge, participation, and stewardship for the continued conservation and management of KBAs.

Together with communities, LGUs, DENR, the KBA Consortium, and Forest Foundation Philippines, we’re bringing people closer to the places that matter most for biodiversity and supporting those who help protect them.
𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀.
Key Biodiversity Areas (KBA) are sites of global importance for the persistence of biodiversity. Through the Updating the Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) in the Philippines Project, Haribon works with the KBA Consortium, DENR, LGUs , and communities to strengthen KBA conservation and protect these vital areas as a key natural heritage for future generations.
