As HM Week 2026 concludes, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this event.

We express our gratitude to our Program Chair, Ma’am Carina Rustia, and our Student Council Adviser, Ma’am Bea Lupog, for their guidance and support. We also thank the adviser of the Union of Young Hoteliers, Ma’am Faye Marie Sacalamitao, and the adviser of the Daily Knead Organization, Ma’am Kristine Dela Cruz, for their continued assistance.

Our appreciation also goes to the faculty and staff for their efforts in organizing the activities. To our guest speakers and judges, thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with the students.

We also acknowledge our visitors, sponsors, and committees for their support and cooperation throughout the event. Special thanks as well to our official publication, The Menew, for covering and documenting the activities of HM Week 2026.

The awarding of 𝑬𝒙𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑨𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 for the 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑺𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 2025–2026, held during HM Week, recognizes students who have consistently shown dedication to their studies. Despite the different activities and events throughout the celebration, these students were able to maintain strong academic standing through discipline, focus, and proper time management.

This recognition is a simple way of acknowledging their efforts, not only in achieving good grades but also in balancing their responsibilities as hospitality management students. Their performance reflects their commitment to learning and their willingness to put in the work required to meet academic standards.

The “𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝑪𝒖𝒑: 𝑨 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂 𝑺𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝑺𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑” gave participants a closer look into the fundamentals of coffee preparation. Students were introduced to the basics of coffee beans, proper grinding, brewing methods, and the importance of consistency and technique in creating quality beverages. The session also included hands-on practice, allowing participants to apply what they learned and gain confidence in preparing coffee.

This workshop was made possible through the support of 𝑵𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒘, led by 𝑴𝒂’𝒂𝒎 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑰𝒗𝒚 𝑫𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒊𝒓 𝑬𝒍𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑻𝒖𝒕𝒂𝒂𝒏, who shared their knowledge and practical experiences in the field. Their guidance helped students better understand the standards and skills needed in barista work.

Congratulations to Team Aqua for being declared the Overall Champion of this year’s Hospitality Management Week. Your consistent performance and teamwork across different events made the difference.

The 3rd Skill Fest served as a simple yet meaningful showcase of the students’ skills and efforts in different areas of hospitality. From the creativity shown in Cook Fest, to the careful ex*****on of Table Napkin Folding and Table Setting, each activity reflected the participants’ understanding of basic standards and attention to detail. The Showroom presentations highlighted organization and presentation skills, while the Singing Duo & Solo and Dance Group & Duo added a sense of participation and enjoyment to the event. The Flower Arrangement competition also showed the students’ creativity and patience in creating balanced and presentable outputs.

We would like to thank our judges, Ms. Menche Mae Onato, Mr. Jade Mark Aliado, Mr. James Paul Matammu, Ms. Michaela Allas and Mr. Rexzon Mark Basingil, for sharing their time and knowledge in evaluating the participants. Your presence helped make the activity organized and meaningful. A meaningful learning experience for our future hospitality professionals ✨

The seminar entitled “Mastering the Craft, Redefining the Standard of Global Hospitality” served as an opportunity for Hospitality Management students to deepen their understanding of the industry and the standards expected on a global scale. We extend our sincere appreciation to 𝑴𝒂’𝒂𝒎 𝑱𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑺. 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒃𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒍 for generously sharing her knowledge, practical insights, and real-world experiences that truly resonated with the students.

Conducted during the ongoing Students Fest 2026 and in celebration of HM Week, the seminar was attended by dedicated HM students who actively participated and showed great interest throughout the discussion. It highlighted not only the importance of skills and professionalism but also the value of continuous learning and adaptability in the ever-evolving field of hospitality.

Overall, the activity contributed to strengthening the students’ perspective on their chosen career path, reminding them of the standards they must strive for as future professionals in the global hospitality industry.

Hospitality Management students of Quirino State University – Cabarroguis Campus joined the parade for the kickoff of the Student Festival, marking the start of a meaningful and exciting celebration.

Walking together with pride and coordination, the HM students showed their support for this year’s theme, “Celebrating Talent, Unity, and Excellence.” Their participation reflected not only their skills and creativity, but also their ability to work as a team and represent their program with confidence.

The parade served as a simple yet significant way to bring students together, highlighting the importance of unity and shared purpose within the campus. It also set the tone for the upcoming activities where talents, collaboration, and dedication will continue to be showcased.

As the festival begins, the HM community stands ready to take part, contribute, and celebrate alongside the rest of the university.
