This is a common question I always get.
People ask, "Should I build a landing page or a funnel?" or "Should I make a website or a funnel?" Some even ask, "What's the difference between a website and a funnel"
I'm writing this to clear up all these questions.
Technically, anything on the web is a website. That's the term regular people use, right? They say, "I saw a website," or "I downloaded it from a website." They call landing pages, funnels, and everything by the name "website."
But we, as online business owners, should know the difference.
Let's start with a landing page.
It's like the tiny element that helps to create a funnel. When someone clicks on a link for an offer, we send them to a page — they land on it, right?
So that's the landing page. A funnel can have multiple pages like an offer page, order form, and thank you page.
If you are sending someone to the offer page, that’s the landing page. Even if you send someone directly to an order form, you can still call that order form a landing page because that's where they land.
So, I hope now it's clear what a landing page is.
So, what's a funnel?
A funnel is used to sell a specific offer, or more, without distractions.
Think like this: Let’s say you are selling an Ebook, a $27 course, a $97 course, and a $1500 coaching offer. If someone saw all these offers at once, they might get confused.
So, with a funnel, we focus on selling one offer at a time. Let's say we send someone to your $27 offer funnel.
If they buy it, in the next funnel step, we show them the next offer. We ask them, "Hey, this might be helpful, do you want to add this to your order?" It's like guiding them through their buying journey, taking them step by step.
What about a website?
A website is like a collection of funnels and everything you have.
You can add menus, links to your blog, and more.
If someone asks, "Hey, I want to check all the offers you have," then you send them to your website. On the homepage, you might say, "I help X achieve Y."
You can also share your testimonials and have a different page to show all your offers like Ebooks, low-ticket courses, high-ticket courses, and more.
When someone clicks on an offer they like, they get redirected to the first page of that specific funnel(Landing page). So, you can have multiple funnels connected to your website like that.
I hope that clears things up. I'm writing this for absolute beginners or people who struggle with these concepts.
When it comes to advanced marketing, these concepts can differ a bit according to the results we're looking for and the type of campaign we're running.
But I hope this gives you some idea.
With Systeme, you can have all of these things.
You can start with a simple funnel with one offer, and over time, as you have multiple offers, you can connect all your funnels together and start your website.
You can even add a blog to get more traffic from search engines. Rome wasn't built in a day. You keep building this daily, and you can build a digital empire with Systeme.io.
These are fun-to-run, cash-flow generating websites or funnels that can be totally automated with Systeme. That's the best part. Keep building, and if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer.
