𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓: 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀 𝐒𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍, 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀 𝐒𝐀 𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐍

Mayo 7, 2025 - Nagkaisa ang Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) at ang mga mag-aaral sa ikasampung baitang sa isang proyektong pagtulong sa mga kabataan sa Brgy. Zone 2, Purok Barilea.

Sinimulan ito sa pagkanta ng Pambansang Awit ng Pilipinas, sinundan ito ng panalangin, at pag-awit ng Himno ng Cadiz.

Nagbigay ng pambungad na pananalita si Ms. Jona D. Gabayeron. Tagapayo ng SSLG. Ipinakita ni Eliana Ruth O. Monana at Niel Arcillas ang kahalagahan ng pag-aalaga sa kalikasan sa pamamagitan ng pagsalaysay ng maikling kwento.

Maya-maya, tinuruan ng mga mag-aaral sa ikasampung baitang ang mga bata tungkol sa mga dapat gawin bago, habang, at pagkatapos ng mga sakuna.

Nagkaisa at nagsaya ang lahat sa larong "Eco Bingo" na inihanda ng mga opisyales ng SSLG.

Ang mga mag-aaral sa ikasampung baitang ay nagtanghal sa pamamagitan ng isang dulang pantanghalan na kung saan sila'y kumanta at umarte na nagpakita ng responsibilidad natin sa ating mga basura at kapaligiran.

Nagkaroon ng salo-salo na inihanda ng mga opisyales ng SSLG para sa kanila. Pagkatapos, ibinahagi nina Eliana Ruth O. Monana at Niño Johrem Dormido ang kanilang adbokasiya tungkol sa ating inang kalikasan.

Pinangunahan naman ni Wesley A. Tangao ang Environmental Pledge na kung saan nangako ang lahat ng dumalo na magiging responsable sila sa kanilang mga basura at sa kanilang paligid.

Natapos ang programa sa pagbigay ng mga sertipiko ng partisipasyon at mga school supplies sa mga bata. Ang kaganapang ito ay hindi lang nagbigay ng pagkakataon sa mga kabataan na matulungan, nagbigay din ito ng leksyon at mga alaalang hindi malilimutan sa mga opisyales ng SSLG at sa mga mag-aaral sa ikasampung baitang.

𝐏𝐍𝐔𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

March 28, 2025 — PNUV Drillon Covered Court.

On Friday afternoon, PNU students gathered to celebrate National Women's Month with a vibrant and meaningful program honoring the contributions of women throughout history. Organized by the PNUV Kabataang Urduja, the event began at 1:30 PM and concluded at 2:58 PM — featuring a series of performances, character portrayals, and acts of unity.

The event kicked off with the entrance of colors, followed by a solemn prayer and the singing of the Cadiz City hymn, setting a reflective tone for the afternoon.

Grade 6 students took the stage first with an energetic dance performance, which was followed by a captivating character portrayal segment. During this part of the program, students from various grade levels took on the roles of influential Filipino women who have made significant contributions to the country’s history.

A grade 7 student, Xylein Kia Forquiado portrayed Josefa Llanes Escoda — a key figure in the women’s suffrage movement and a national hero. Grade 8 students' Ryelin Casimar Obani and Patricia Santolices portrayed Agueda Kahabagan, a revolutionary leader, and Leni Robredo, the former vice president known for her advocacy for women’s rights and social change.

The audience was then treated to an intermission performance by Ran Dominique Herrera, before Grade 9's Suzzane Bless Camangyan portrayed Maria Ressa — a journalist and advocate for press freedom. Finally, Grade 10’s Eliana Monana portrayed Josefa Llanes Escoda in a powerful and emotional performance.

Following the character portrayals, a Grade 7 presentation was performed, followed by an advocacy video that highlighted important issues facing women today.

The highlight of the afternoon was the awarding ceremony for the character portrayal competition: Eliana Monana took first place, followed by Ryelin Casimar Obani in second, and Suzzane Bless Camangyan in third.

The celebration ended with a spirited unity dance — a powerful symbol of collective strength and solidarity in the ongoing fight for gender equality.

The event, organized by PNUV Kabataang Urduja, successfully showcased the importance of honoring women’s contributions and reinforced the school’s commitment to empowering students with a deeper understanding of women’s rights and equality.

The Flame Publication proudly took part in the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2025 on March 13-14, showcasing their talents and skills in journalism.

With passion and determination, we secured multiple awards, bringing pride to our school. Those who placed in the top three will move forward to the Regional Schools Press Conference to continue their journey.

𝐏𝐍𝐔-𝐕 𝐂𝐓𝐋 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲

The Philippine Normal University Visayas Center for Teaching and Learning (PNUV-CTL) celebrated Family Day on February 15, 2025, with the theme: “Family’s Love is Life’s Greatest Blessing and Strength.” The event was held at the Drilon Covered Court, starting at 7:30 A.M. and concluding at 4:40 P.M.

The master of ceremonies was Welcir S. Oliveros Jr. The program began with a caravan, followed by a Mass. Dr. Gliceria Arlyn G. Garancho, Dean for Academics and the Hub, then delivered the opening remarks, followed by a message from the Executive Director and Provost, Dr. Ralger D. Jocson Jr. Afterward, the judges for the competitions, Dr. Richelle A. Delmo, Manny Bantillo, and Noriel Dorliac, were introduced.

The event featured various activities, including parlor games and door prizes. One of the highlights of the celebration was the dance competition, where students from different grade levels, along with their parents, showcased their talents and strengthened their bond. The competition was divided into two categories: elementary and high school.

After the dance competition, a raffle draw took place, giving lucky pupils a chance to win prizes. Following the raffle, parlor games commenced. Dr. Emilyn T. Batulat then delivered a talk on gender equity, emphasizing the importance of equal opportunities for everyone. After the discussion, more games followed.

A second raffle draw was held before the awarding ceremony, where the winners were announced. The results were as follows:

Elementary (Kindergarten to Grade 3):
1st place - Grade 3
2nd place - Grade 2
3rd place - Grade 1
4th place - Kindergarten

Elementary (Grade 4 to Grade 6):
1st place - Grade 6
2nd place - Grade 5
3rd place - Grade 4

High School (Grade 7 to Grade 10):
1st place - Grade 9
2nd place - Grade 8
3rd place - Grade 10
4th place - Grade 7

The event concluded with a closing remarks from Mr. Welcir S. Oliveros Jr., marking the end of a successful and memorable Family Day celebration.
