Feeling proud and grateful to share that I have recently earned my “TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration” 🎓

A little backstory… I am a teacher by profession, originally from the Philippines 🇵🇭. I spent 6 amazing years in Thailand 🇹🇭 teaching English as a Foreign Language to high school students, as well as working with nursery-aged children. I truly loved my time there –the people, the food, the culture, and the slower-paced lifestyle were incredibly fulfilling and beautiful.

When I moved to the UK 🇬🇧, life shifted quite a bit. As of now, I am no longer working full time because I have chosen to focus on raising my children – a decision I wholeheartedly embrace. Childcare here is very costly, and unlike back home 🇵🇭 where I have a big family to support me, it is a different story here. So I have had to adapt, pause, and rethink my journey.

But this season also made me realise something important: that there’s still so much more to learn, explore, and accomplish. 🌱 I decided to take this short course in business administration not just for myself, but also for our family business, MCF Tree Services 🌳. It is a step towards understanding the business side of things more deeply and preparing for future opportunities.

This certificate may be just a piece of paper to some, but for me, it’s a symbol of resilience, growth, and the courage to keep learning no matter where life takes me. 📚✨

To anyone out there who’s thinking it’s too late or too hard to start something new — trust me, it’s never too late to invest in yourself.
